Thanks MT. You don't realise how much your support is appreciated. I'm having a girly day with DD, her bestie, oh's daughter in law and oh's granddaughter. We are going to finish Christmas shopping hopefully.
Are you all ready for the big day? I've been dreading Christmas but since the weekend I'm feeling excited now.

Hi Tink,
I think I speak for most if not all people when I say that everyone on here only wants the best for you, and you are the best person to work out what that is.
I'm sorry things haven't been going well for you, but maybe it's been the push you (and OH) need.
Hugs as always xLet’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭0 -
^ what they said... and virtual (hugs) as sounds like you could do with some.

Belated Christmas wishes and hugs to all my virtual friends. I hope you've had a lovely time.
Roll on 2016. I have a few resolutions in mind which I will post in the next couple of days to keep me on track.
Love to you all.

Well its nearly 2016 and I just can't wait to see the back of this year. It's been one heck of a rollercoaster but yesterday I finally had a good talk to myself and him and I have made my final decision that I will be starting off 2016 as single. I know I've said this before but with what happened in the last month I think we just stayed together to help each other through it.
Christmas day was ok and also boxing day to an extent but I'm just not happy. So how hard do I have to kick myself about the flat I said I didn't want. I have been in touch with the council today and there is someone else interested in it but if it doesn't happen she will come back to me. Only got to wait until Thursday for new properties to be listed.
So, onwards and upwards. DD has gone to a party at a relatives tonight and after working today I decided to stay at home. He went to bed at about nine so I've enjoyed some time on my own, just waiting for midnight then off to bed for me.
I do have some resolutions for next year or could they just be changes I want in my life.
1. To do things that make me and DD happy.
2. To get our own little home.
3. Sort out and prioritise debts.
4. Stop spending money on things I don't need.
5. Get organised.
6. Sell quite a few things on flea bay.
7. Get fit and get rid of about a stone that I put on when I gave up smoking.
Well that's not too bad of a list and I have my new journal ready for tomorrow (thanks MT and Rosa).
I'm feeling more happy already. He is going out tomorrow so time for me to start with the organising.
I wish you all a happy 2016 and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support you have given me and also thank you for being there for me.
Happy New Year :beer::beer:

Hi Tink,
Happy new year to you!
I was going to second what MT said, you don't need to justify yourself to anyone, its your life. You need to do what makes you & DD happy.
When things go on around especially around Christmas it can be hard to think clearly, and the indecisiveness is normal - he is after all the father of your child, its normal to want to make things work, and its also normal that sometimes people just outgrow each other. Which I think is the case from what you write. It doesn't mean you don't love each other, it just makes things a lot harder if not impossible to work through.
When things have calmed, you both have had some space you may find that you are able to stay relatively friendly. My nice ex is one of my best friends - I feel nothing for him in a romantic way, but I do now value his friendship and Id like to think the feeling is mutual.
Keeping my fingers crossed with the housing for you. I'm not sure what area you are in, but I know in our area we have a lot more 2 bed flats than houses - like 5 times as many, so it can be a long wait.
There is once you are in, the possibility of exchanging, most housing associations stipulate that you have to be in the property a year or more, have a clean record, no rent arrears etc. Then it would be a matter of finding someone who wants a flat. We have a lot of elderly who are not ready for sheltered courts, move into ground floor flats from houses when stairs & space becomes a little too much for them. It can take some time but again it all depends where you are, the housing stock and number of people waiting.
Good new years resolutions - I love a new year. New diary, new calendar, new plans - my favourite things

You sound like you've made the best decision for you and DD at the moment, I agree with bellevie that it's difficult at this time of year to make big decisions. And at least you have helped each other through the past month.
Happy New Year to you, and fingers crossed you find somewhere for you and DD to make your own ASAP.
Big hugs Tink,
