Hello everyone,
Legomum - thanks for the (early) start. I hope you feel better soon
snowwhite - good luck on your results!
Bob - I hope the noise isn't too bad
I missed posting yesterday as I had to leave work early because I went to a slightly further away city to meet my friend for dinner. I'm also off today so I had to get loads done.
Had a wonderful time seeing my friend as she has moved out of the country and although we speak a lot, we don't often see each other in person for obvious reasons. She also invited our other friend, who I haven't seen since her wedding so it was a fab reunion
Today I am being a 50's housewife. In fact I have my special apron on.
So far I have:- Rung work to hand over loads of stuff - done
- Cooked a load of stuff for OH's gran. Sausages and shepherd's pie. Gotta peel the spuds in a min but will let OH mash them. He is the mash king. Shepherd's pie mince in the sc - done
- Making a big carrot cake to send back too. Currently in the oven. Smells AMAZING (mixture tasted pretty darned good too) - done, just got to ice it
- Doing some cleaning. Have done some random dusting but will probably clean the bathroom floors now - done
- Portion up meat in fridge and put in freezer
- Some crochet and sort out my crochet corner in the living room. It's a pig sty. I need to go through all the patterns that my mum sends me and bin any rubbish ones and file the better ones. - sorted through patterns
- Declutter/ebay pile - start putting one together. I feel the need to get shot of some stuff!
- Possibly gardening. Must def water it. - watered
- Make dinner, going to have roast chicken and ratatouille. Nom nom nom. Sure that I have some random herb mixes in the cupboard that were given to me as a gift so may use on the chicken
- Paint nails while sitting in the sunshine

Afternoon all getting the day back on track after this morning excitement. I went to college and got the C I needed in maths, had a little tear that my mum and dad have passed and could not share my moment of maths victory with them but hubby was very proud bless.
Came home and after the shock wore off had a bit of an energy burst and cleaned the floors.
Had an mse moment in town when got my results. When I initially started my access course I said to myself that if I passed the access and maths and got a place at uni I would treat myself to a nice watch. Well walked passed jewellers today and honestly achieving these grades was reward enough in itself and buying something would not have made me any happier.:money: Though will treat myself to a celebratory bottle of vino.
So todays to do list:
* upload grades to Kings College. Done
* clean floors. Done
* meals from stores.
* relax. Doing
Looks like everyone is doing well and keeping focused :TNST#14/20 -

Afternoon all

SnowWhite, fingers crossed for your Maths GCSE result, what do you want to study at Uni?
Again I remembered to bring in a YS croissant from the freezer and lunch was the last handful of a huge of mini sausage rolls I bought for DS when he had friends round last Saturday night.
I did however have to make a trip this lunch time to buy a new keyboard. The old one is only a few months old at the most but I no longer have the receipt but I will be returning it using my new receipt. Is that criminal? It probably is but it's from the same shop so I won't feel too bad. It hasn't had any spillages (which is what did for the original one) but the space bar seems to be permanently doing it's stuff, (possibly due to over use for gaming by DS.) I've had to unplug it as every time I put the computer to sleep the space bar turns it back on again.
Only 10 more weeks here now and one of those (next week) is holiday. It doesn't seem so long ago I had a whole year of work stretching out ahead of me but it's starting to feel uncomfortably near to coming to an end with the person whose job I'm covering for coming back for 'staying in touch' days etc. I'm keeping a close eye on the Yahoo 'passing around of work' group I belong too and there's work up for grabs but all very last minute so at the moment it's all for dates while I'm still here. There was another maternity leave cover posted elsewhere but again they need someone to start before I've left here.
Tonight I will be doing the cleaning I didn't do last night plus tonight's allocation in readiness for a viewing on Saturday and I've spoken to the estate agents to confirm that they can pack in as many viewings as they like from next Thursday so *fingers crossed* somebody offers really soon.
I have booked to see a house I quite like for a second time this weekend and am going to book to see a couple more. They are:
House 1: Quirky, 10 minutes from my preferred station but will need to keep £40k of my mortgage.
House 2: Nice and has potential for reconfiguring so DS has his own wet room. Would need to drive to a station but would have no mortgage.
House 3: Ugly from outside but nice inside, slightly longer walk to preferred station but closer to DS's friends. Depending on what price they would accept I would have either no mortgage or a very small one.
Have a great day all and good luck with the jobs, Ally!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
