  • I have recieved nothing via post, I was curious as to the status of my appeal so I checked the POPLA website and was able to see that UKCPM has written a paragraph of nonsense to counter the claim. If I should have received something via post that is good to know (can always use that should I recieve any further correspondance. Fed up with this all now but will keep plugging away!

Thanks for the advice Coupon-Mad....I can only assume who you support based on your avatar :P

  • Can anyone help with advice please, I have received a parking fine from UK CPS LTD it's £100 but if paid within 14 days reduced to £60, can they follow this up if I don't pay it. So many mixed messages and don't know what to do.

You should start your own thread. For a start, this is about a different company, let alone (probably) different circumstances.

OK, yep I do come from Sussex by the Sea and support your rivals.

But I will help - what you are looking at on the POPLA website is merely the 'case summary'. This is not the actual evidence pack but how on earth a consumer would know that, is beyond me! UKPCM had to send you a copy of the whole thing, case summary and evidence including all photos and documents they've sent to POPLA.

Don't delay, you only get a week to comment on evidence unless you ask POPLA for an extension of time. I would email POPLA and the BPA with the POPLA code and 'UKCPM' and the PCN ref in the subject line and tell them you have not received UKPCM's evidence pack yet you can see a limited 'case summary' on the Portal.

Ask the BPA to treat it as a complaint and tell them you can't email UKCPM and have no way to contact them easily so could they find out where the evidence is and treat this as a specific complaint.

And ask POPLA to please put your case on hold as you wish to comment on the evidence but have not seen it yet.

Pretty much all the cases I juggle at POPLA have been 'on hold' at times for the same reason - slow evidence arriving or NO evidence arriving.

The BPA says that AOS members 'misunderstood' the new system and thought that people could see the evidence on the Portal but they can't yet (that's a planned improvement for the future).

POPLA's email you will already have. BPA email is:

    aos@britishparking.co.uk

...and it doesn't matter that UKCPM have left the BPA AOS.

  • Hi all,

So my POPLA appeal was rejected on the grounds that I ‘knowingly breached the terms and conditions of the residential car park’ My landlord is now refusing to pay the PCN and I’ve just received a final demand notice from UK CPM (UK Car Park Management)

Please could I have some advice on what to do next?

    Many thanks!

  • Coupon-mad, thank you for the advice by the way, to date I have not recieved a reply from AOS but this is something I have been chasing for the last couple of weeks.....

Show us the POPLA decision please. They are fine to post up publicly (just remove your details).

Glenn Murray by the way...tainted and a bit lazy IMHO...!

  • Apologies for the late reply, have had a crazy busy week! I’ll post the transcript up this evening. In the meantime I have requested my notice of rejection from POPLA and am taking the case to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal service of England and Wales. I spoke with a contact there on Tuesday this week who confirmed I will be able to at least present my case.

At this stage it’s the principle of the PCN that annoys me the most, doesn’t matter if it was a £1.00 they were chasing I am still being penalised for something that wasn’t my fault! Anyway, I won’t rant on. Thanks all for your sage advice so far, much appreciated!

(Glenn Murray is a goal scoring hero by the way! But yes, typical goal hanger who cant track back to save his life. Was sad to see him go....)

Hi all, another threatening letter today from UK-CPM now demanding the sum of £149.00 before handing over to recovery teams.... what a load of nonsense. I've had no further contact from POPLA and have not yet received my letter of rejection.

At this point is there anything else I can do? What is the likelihood bailiffs will be dispatched to recover funds?

Zero chance, because bailiffs only get sent round AFTER a person loses in a court hearing, and then refuses to pay. Not happening is it?!

A Seagull still helping an Eagle, that's a first for me! I do go back to the seventies at the Goldstone so the reason for the rivalry is known and never forgotten...not to mention the more recent poo-gate shenanigans!
