Hi Jimlad, I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were!

Such wonderful progress, nearly there! Looking forward to the MFW party when it's gone! x

Aww thanks! Everyone will be invited!! :j
Wonderful progress. Well done! What are the plans once the mortgage is gone?

One very big plan that I am going to announce when we are mortgage free. Watch this space! :p
What a great diary! You're almost there after all that time.

    must be so exciting

It really is hard to believe we have been this disciplined for this long. Its going to be fun modifying our monthly budget to remove the mortgage and overpayments!

Shorter month but hopefully that will not affect totals too much. Let’s have a look!

Airbnb: £261 – Down on January but we had family and friends visiting for probably a quarter of the month in total so not to bad at all. Seems like we have gained a new regular too!

Adsense from Youtube: £36.81 – No new videos this month but I have done a little bit of work on making my channel thumbnails and graphics a bit more uniform. Hopefully this makes my videos stand out more in the “related videos” that come up.

Amazon Affiliates from Youtube: £9.93 –
555 clicks and 12 items ordered. Highlights include a toy supermarket till, 25 plastic a4 folders in neon pink and some Oakley “earsocks” whatever the heck they are!

Solar Panels: £24.70 – Another increase on last month with 3 less days! Roll on summertime!!

Matched Betting: £30 – Champions league matches means my favourite matched bets are back! This one was on the arsenal Munich game.

Thats a grand total of £362.44 earned outside of work in February!

With spring fast approaching we are hopefully going to see increases in Airbnb and Solar panels. We have been missing the tourists! Already got a booking for the Cheltenham Festival at double the rate this month!

Thats it for this months side hustling! Until next time amigos!

We have been counting up all our pennies and looking at all our regular outgoings between now and my next payday.

I think we might be able pay it off TOMORROW! Watch this space!

Good luck! Keep at it. Try to do an overpayment whenever you can, even if its just a few quid it all adds up.

Well thats it! Just phoned up the bank to get a final settlement figure. Cheekily they charge a £220 admin fee when closing down a mortgage.

We sent the final payment 15 minutes ago!

5 working days for them to process it all and send us the final statement. I dont think it will seem fully real until we get that.

It was our plan right from the beginning to try and pay off our mortgage before we start a family and we are pleased to announce that MissW and myself are expecting a baby girl, due in August. :j

We are so excited and the spreadsheets are now being migrated from mortgage payments to baby gear budgets :p

The side hustling will continue, but of course the Airbnb will have to stop in August. Is there another forum to post that in?

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to all you guys for reading and commenting on this and our previous diary's along the way. It has helped so much to have a team of like minded people who dont look at us like we are crazy when we share our plans. We will still be hanging around this forum as i love reading how everyone is getting on.

    Much Love!

    Jimlad and MissWillow x
