A few days late, but hopefully sounding great! Here's the totals for September!.

Airbnb: £396 – Down on the summer months, but there were quite a few days where we couldn’t host as we were away.

Adsense from Youtube: £43.77 – Edging higher! £1 higher than August! Made quite a few little videos recently of gaming clips and a few little gadgets I got hold off. Nothing has taken off or gone “viral” though so will have to keep plugging away.

Amazon Affiliates from Youtube: £15.43 – 604 clicks and a total of 15 items ordered. Highlights of purchased items this month include a backpack, some kitchen utensils and a set of extra large bath towels. Its so random what people order after clicking from my youtube videos!

Solar Panels: £56.59 – Down we go as we the darker evenings draw in. This is £10 down on the same period last year so a much worse September in 2016 compared to 2015.

Matched Betting: £0 – Still waiting for the big easy matched bets to start. Champions league is in full swing but nothing that’s taken my fancy yet.

Thats a grand total of £511.79 earned outside of work in September,. 200 quid down on august mainly down to Airbnb but still really good considering its all on top of our salaries! I really must work out how much hosting on airbnb actually costs us in terms of washing and consumables!

    Merry October everyone!

Only one month to go until our mortgage drops out of the fix onto variable and we can make a big overpayment!

Your outside work earnings are very impressive.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Phoned up last night. November 2nd is the last day of our 3.99% fix which means the 3rd is when we drop onto 4.39% variable.

We have totalled up and will have just over 50k in savings by then, so we will be doing a 50k overpayment on the 3rd.

This will leave us with about 20k left to pay off and as we are on a penalty free variable we can do it once a month with all our leftovers.

Its going to be an exciting time and we are still on track for April 2017, 6 months to go!

    Thanks!

Pretty amazing isnt it, we are well chuffed with ourselves!

Thats probably about 18 months to 2 years saving i think.

Because we could only overpay 10% a year, it meant that each year a little more of the pot rolled over

Have to say I'm a bit envious! We've just broken the £60,000 outstanding mark, down from over £94k three years ago. 18 months until our fix ends and we can overpay without penalty, but don't think we'll have quite that much saved by then! Your side hustles are an inspiration!

can't wait to be in your position, but I doubt my savings will reach that until after our mortgage is completed
