I used Santander online banking for a few years problem free until they updated the website and it would not accept my password and login details. Now I can't even remember my ID to log in. On entering passwords why does it ask only for certain characters just to make it even more complicated? I'm going to switch back to paper statements like in the olden days, lihlfe was simpler.0

It doesn't ask just for certain characters....You have to enter your User I.D, Pass code and Registration number.Deleted_User wrote: »I used Santander online banking for a few years problem free until they updated the website and it would not accept my password and login details. The only time you have to enter random password characters is when a transaction has to be verified when making internet purchases.
Are you using THIS site to log on? However, if you lost your passwords etc you will need to get new details from the 'Forgotten your log in details?' link.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

It varies, with me it asks for two numbers, with the wife it's a number & certain characters from a password. Going by previous posts on here there are several other variations too.It doesn't ask just for certain characters....You have to enter your User I.D, Pass code and Registration numberTall, dark & handsome. I have just found this thread after searching for info about the login problem with Santander in First Direct's Internet Banking Plus.
In the past they have fixed similar problems in a few days but this has dragged on into several weeks now.
Does anyone know if they are working to solve it?0 -
There have been no login problems with Santander any time I've used it over the last few weeks, or any other time come to that....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I'd agree, there seems to be no difference to the Santander login process in recent weeks to how it was before. I think BarGin's problem is more likely to be in how FD's IB Plus is working.0
