Santander online banking and Cookies

I have used santander online banking for a couple of years without problems. The log in process has two stages
1. customer ID input with a tick box "remember me "
2. memorable word and memorable number ,,,,,,no tick box.
Now last week I reinstalled Windows 7 and, as expected, had to sign in manually to all my usual bookmarked websites including Santander as none recognised my laptop. Using IE11
All sites bar Santander now operate normally.
Each time I open Santander.co.uk I am warned that I need to allow cookies and I have to input my details anew.
Thing is.... that cookies ARE allowed ...but I'm still having trouble.
I've even allowed ALL cookies, when previously I didnt, and I've specified to Allow all cookies from Santander particularly.
Is there something I'm missing and how can I overcome this problem. Any ideas please

What browser are you using? Is it set to clear the cookies on exit?0

Of late Santander has taken to telling me about cookies every time I open it, I tick the "don't tell me this again" box but it has no effect.
I don't know what you mean by "I have to enter all my details anew", I haven't found any difference in the login process.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
I only recently changed to Santander so I can't comment on how it worked before but I think there are a couple of glitches in Santander's log-in page.
I always allow session cookies but from day-one I am also receiving the "cookies are disabled" message whatever I do with cookie permissions. Changing browsers doesn't solve the problem either.
So I decided to ignore it.....and it works just fine despite the warning.
As regards the User ID, I never use "Remember Me" options but even LastPass Password Manager seems unable to autofill this site and I have to do this manually. No hardship, just something else to think about.
So it would appear to be a (recent?) Santander problem as opposed to your computer.0 -
Ignore it. It always says cookies are not enabled and you won't be able to use the site, but, you always can with no bother....
The only thing that it will keep anyway is your customer ID, doesn't take a second to pop it it in and hit enter.
If you really need it, check your browser settings are not set to clear history and cookies on closure, as Wongataa says.
However, I'm sure it's a Santander problem not yours...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I use Firefox have have Blur downloaded, it is suppose to stop them from tracking you.
Anyway I only have to enter my pin each time, the long number is there.0 -
I usually use IE 11 but it also exhibits the same behaviour in Firefox.
Browser is NOT set to delete cookies on exit
I also notice (Well, on mine) that it has stopped pushing Trusteer...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

It's not a huge problem as several members have said, but it's a bit irritating as I use First Direct's Internet banking plus site . This is a type of aggregate overview site which logs into all my accounts simultaneously , current accounts, savings, credit cards etc etc and gives an overview of my finances without my having to log in individually or remember passwords. Only now it stalls on Santander each time and won't log in without my extra input. Like I said, irritating but not overly important. I agree that it seems to be a Santander problem and not my laptop , if other users get the same message.
Thanks to everyone for their input.0 -
Stopped pushing Trusteer for me too. But YBS Money Manager has stopped working with Santander. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0
