Not much at the point I am! I will try, thanks Trinidad.

Great. if you do dip your toe on the forum, come back and let us know how it goes. the staff on there usually work monday to friday 9 - 5
Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!
  • Ok so I did dip my toe on the forum and this is the answer I got:

Unfortunately if you were on a package no longer offered by TalkTalk you would be transferred on to one of their current offerings as detailed in the help article "Moving home with Talktalk"
If you had options that you wanted to retain, international calls etc, then the best option would have been to call the home movers team rather than arranging it online.
You could try calling the loyalty team to see if they can offer you a deal to keep you happy but otherwise unfortunately you are stuck with your current contract or expensive early termination charges to cancel.

The question is: How could I have known that I was on a package that no longer existed? I do not work at Talktalk!
So I am back to square 1 with little hope to see this issue resolved. My only hope is that my issues will help others to be more cautious. I now need to find out how much it would cost me to part ways with TT before the end of my 16 month remaining contract.

Good you want the following inmind:

Me:Well, the least that one may say is that it was not very helpful as, how could I have known that my package no longer existed? I do not work at Talktalk. Shouldn't providers do their upmost to keep their customers not just informed but also satisfied? What if I had not moved? Would they have changed my contract without notifying me?

Answer: Every provider will issue a new contract when a customer moves, it is standard practice, and I am sure it would have advised this when you submitted the home move online (although it may have been part of the small print).

    Firstly welcome to Moneysavingexpert.com

Sorry to hear you are having difficulties with talktalk.

You mentioned your no longer in contract with talktalk, which means you are now in a very powerful position. you can either negotiate a new contract, or look for an alternative provider
