Advice needed - Seller trying to blackmail me!!!!!
Comments

Nope its not petty - would you stand for someone trying to blackmail you when you report a genuine problem? the item is not as listed - I received 6 units, not 7 and he accused me straight away of lying, saying he checked them all and weighed them. No way did he do that, cos he would have seen the one that had clearly been used, and noticed the missing caddy from the box!
This is over 99p.
You've been offered a refund for the missing one.
Why not just move on?The money, Dave...0 -

Since the items were only 99p and from what you are saying worth much more than that, why not just resell the ones you don't need and make some money?
I always planned to resell the 1.8" units, but its the principle Dave. How happy would you be at received less than what you paid for, even if it is only 99p? I know thats he's sent less than he advertised. I don't think he knows he has - he's just assuming that I'm trying to pull a fast one, but being aggressive straight out, rather than saying it in a nice way. He may know that I am telling the truth, and it may be that he intends to do it to more people. I'm not going to let that happen.0 -

The whole point is the manner of the seller, and his quick reply to call me a liar. Its not the cash, and I will take a neg for it, as it will let other people know what he is like. His postage is super fast, but his customer service is bordering on bullying!0 -

It's not worth taking or giving a neg over 99p, or in this case 13p.

99p / 7 = 14p, so he's a bit thick there too. Plus, I want a postage discount too.0 -
At over £8 - purlease!
Do you work? If so what is your hourly rate?
It's 30 minute round trip for me to the post office, and 50p in the car park, plus then time to wrap the thing in the first place and the materials. If I charged my hourly rate of pay it would be much more than £8.
I'm not saying this one is resonable, but that there is far more to p&P than postage.0 -
This is all true but buyers see a different perspective, some of the above has to be absorbed into the price of the item. I only add a nominal 20 - 50p on most of my items to cover packaging materials yet with feedback 2 the postage charges is the only star on 4.8 the rest being 4.9. Dont know what people are moaning about the postage for.
Its there to see, if you dont like it dont bid. Then the seller would have to change his ways0 -

I'm not concerned over the postage, just the sellers attitude and accusations. I ALWAYS factor in postage costs in ANY bid. :money:0
