We used to put them up around 1st December and then our son was born five years ago on 2nd December, so we always put them up the weekend after his birthday now :)
  • Only a month to go before my decorations and lights will go up.

My birthday is the 2nd December and I always wanted the decorations up for my birthday, I will be 35 this year and nothing has changed :D
  • We will probably put ours up on either the first or second weekend in December. Depends how Christmassy I feel and when I have spare time! :)

My DS's birthday is on 13 December, and he likes the decorations up for his birthday too. Says not everyone gets to have lots of tinsel and twinkly lights for their birthday ;)

So our decorations go up the first weekend of December :D

  • Usually the 1st December, or the first weekend in December. They come down on New Years Day or the day after.

My lot are either uncooperative or unfussed about decorations (some blokes are, I suppose, just my entire household?!) so my desk at work gets the treatment as soon as it's December (although I usually strip it back again before Christmas if I'm not back before 12th night).

At home I do *try*, adding decorations to windows from the first weekend of the Christmas holidays, but not getting help or encouragement means not a huge amount happens.

It may be moneysaving but it's a bit disheartening.
