Summer isn't even bloody over yet.
  • Ours usually go up the weekend before 1st December, or on 1st December if it happens to fall on a Saturday. I like to have mine up for the full month of December, so sometimes they go up right at the end of November because we are too busy in the week to put them up so they have to go up on the weekend.

I can't wait to put mine up & am really looking forward to buying a new tree this year.

I think any time before December is too early, unless there are special circumstances like someone very ill or someone who will be posted abroad and won't be at home nearer Christmas.

  • mine go up as close to the 1st of Dec as possible, normally the night before, as i like them up when the kids open their 1st advent day, also the elves will come to stay from the 1st. I cant wait, i love the build up to christmas, for me its all about family, and making magical memories for the children. I just this second booked the polar express train ride for the 19th of Dec ( my birthday :) ) we will all wear pj`s and dressing gowns like the film, i bought some stretchy stripy jersey fabric today as well, and intend to make some bed hats :) xx

I decided in January it was a waste of time taking them down, i'd only have to get up again later in the year.
So they're already up, i left them.

  • Ours go up 28th November, its a tradition my late nana started the day/year I was born, and all of my family members still carry it on almost 40 years later!

Each to their own, put them up as soon/late as you want to!
