I hate gofundme with a vengence.
OP if her birthday is near then I'd be tempted to give her £1.50 and tell her that was in place of a card0 -
I think she's got a cheek! Friend or no friend, I'd be telling her so. It'll start with this, and before you know it when she's lost the weight, it'll be a group to raise money for a boob job as they've gone saggy and south with all the weight loss....and, "think of the children, they need a yummy mummy!" Yummy mummy indeed....stop making out your doing it for the children, you're thinking of yourself first and no one else.0

That is the most disgusting part actually Georgie.
I absolutely LOATHE it when people beg for money for something frivolous ...
I actually know someone RIGHT NOW whose son (13) is into a certain sport, and he needs to travel to various destinations for it (sometimes it's in the UK, but sometimes Europe and even further!) And not a month goes by where he he isn't begging on Fakebook and go fund me for £1000 here and £2000 there for his ruddy son!
Like, some 10 times in the last 2 years he has begged money. It's REALLLLLY peeing me off! :mad:cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -
Why don't you ask her if she can give you some money instead as she obviously thinks its ok to ask? Tell her you don't earn as much as she does so its only fair.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0

It's her own fault she's fat, she needs to take responsibility for it herself, if she can't save up a few hundred quid for fat camp she's not going to appreciate it and it won't work, you have to want to lose weight.0

Tell her you've donated money to charity to feed a starving child instead

Very, very cheeky.AnonProfile wrote: »So.... this evening I was added to a FB (Sigh!) group, the accompanying message read:
"For those of you that know me well, I have been struggling with my weight for years. I am desperate tp get a place on *weightloss group am chosing not to name* to help me to lead a healthier lifestyle and lose my baby belly....the kids need a yummy mummy!!! The problem: it costs £240 which i dont have to spare so im shouting out to my friends to see if you may be able to 'donate' a few quid to help me get skinny and get my mojo back???!!!"
The lady in question earns decent money (high £30ks, so £10k or so more than me) and her husband earns also - Am I right to feel that this is madly cheeky or am I just being a bit selfish!? :money:
I don't do FB so don't know how it works but I'd probably post soemthing like 'good luck with that, luv.'0 -
Tell her you'll give her £1 if she comes to your house and does the week's ironing.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Yes that's very cheeky indeed. I was astonished recently when someone I know ran a sweepstake for the baby she was expecting due date, weight, sex, for a fiver a guess, with the takings going to the 'baby fund'. This is a couple earning about nearly £70k between them...0
