Theres even a crowd funding website for breast enlargements where men can donate money so the women can get the op done.

I would ask if you're joking. But stuff like this won't surprise me.

I'm a member of a local music group and we're helping to fundraise some money for a little girl who needs a computer to help her communicate. Things like that, imo, are fine. But things like the OP and travelling are just ridiculous.

No not joking, the website is something like myfreeimplants, saw it mentioned in 1 of last weekend papers.

Yes crowd funding for the example you describe is definitely ok.

Sorry, I don't know much about this but how do you, without your agreement, get added to someone else's group on Facebook?

The question you should be asking is how do you leave the group?

I didn't know such a website existed so I thought I'd take a look. I'm shocked at what some people ask for. There are people asking for house deposits, holiday money, one girl asking for £65k to go travelling. We'd all like these things but most of us work for them.

What surprised me even more is the amount people donate. The travelling fund above had a donation of £3k made! I'm assuming these people are family and friends but why would you do this?

I can understand more in the case of disability or injury treatment as that is virtually charity but everything else can do one.

I'm confused here, was there a prize for winning?

I don't know. It didn't say there was, maybe it was just for fun?! I never asked, as I feared it might get roped in!
