In other news, by scrimping and saving and putting the money aside when I decided not to have takeaways and stuff, I've got £400 to throw at the credit card debt this month. This will take me to sub £2,000 which will feel amazing!
Little victories!!
Hope to have this gone by Christmas!!

Morning all:j
Well I don't know what's going on but I'm lying here at 04:49 and I'm absolutely wide awake and have been since 4am. Must have a mind full of stuff but I can't pinpoint what's keeping me from sleep. I don't feel tired though so might make a cup of tea.
I've really increased my exercise this week, having done Pilates on Tuesday and a session in the gym with my personal trainer Tracey. She's awesome but made me work hard! Still a bit sore but I don't think it's that that's keeping me from my slumbers.
Anyway, today's jobs involve me sitting at my desk doing more support for my SW members and then at 5pm I'm attending another group to do a development visit with feedback to another consultant on my team who is just lovely so this will be a no trouble at all.
A fun packed day. Mr Pickle, my other half, has made his loan repayment so I've moved his £150 straight to my CC. I've lent him money to buy his beloved Bechstein Grand piano which is just beautiful to play. He wanted to get a loan but I said why pay interest and lent him the £3,000 he needed. He put £1500 in himself.
My CC was on 0% anyway. YNAB tells me I now need to find a further £57.99 to be on target for a December CC clearance. Easy Peasy!!
Have a good day all.......now for a 5am cup a!!:rotfl:

I could have joined you for that cup of tea this morning ! I keep waking up at 3:50 am but I am trying not to get up now and just lay there. I eventually do go back to sleep but usually about half an hour before the alarm goes off grr.
The exercise and gym work with your PT sounds great and brilliant for making you feel stronger in body and mind. Great budgeting too - I have never used YNAB but like my own system. I guess it is whatever works for you.0 -

Thanks for stopping by BusyMee1, if I'd known you were there, i'd have poured you a cup too!
I love YNAB - I like the functionality of having it on my phone so I can record my spending as it happens. It's really made me aware of where my money goes each week.

Afternoon all,
Just had a lovely email from PayPal....
A couple of months ago I was chucking out a whole load of stuff and I came across 8 out of date printer cartridges for a printer I no longer have.
I chanced my arm and put them on eBay with full descriptions of how out of date they were and they still sold for about £40!!
Email from paypal today says the money can be withdrawn so I've just transferred £33.96 into my S@nt@nder A/c and allocated it to my CC debt on YNAB. What a nice surprise for a Thursday!
I now only have to find £24.03 to meet my April repayment target but I'm guessing I'll trash that as it's only 6th April today. Of to find some other stuff to list - you never know! I have loads of old Star trek Voyager videos I can't watch anymore as I have no video recorder. Someone might be collecting......

Evening all,
I'm working hard on procuring my monthly bonus this month. Basically I have 4 more weeks to achieve the criteria that I need to be in the running, and then my team have to achieve a certain level too:
70% of them over the line will mean £400 bonus
85% of them over the line will mean £800 bonus
100% of them over the line will mean £1200 bonus
So far at the end of Week 1, I am
70/250 and 53/350
or
70/350 and 53/250
depending which way I flip it.
That probably makes no sense to anyone but me!
The spoils are there for the taking!

Morning all,
Crikey, it's Tuesday again! That's come around quick! Off to support my lovely band of SW members this morning. We had 70 in last week thanks to the holidays so expecting the same this morning. Busy busy!!
In financial news, I've banked the £2 coin collection which came to £724. This has been allocated on YNAB to holiday fund as OH and I are off to Holland in June. May just have a managed to get Eurostar tickets for £29 each way. Bargain!!
My pension contributions go up in June by £1.53 (indexation apparently!) - I might need to look at increasing this if I don't want to be living off beans and rice when I reach 65 (or 70 or whatever the retirement age will be by then) - it's 20 years off yet! Fortunately being self employed I can just keep working!
Mega-wage payment day tomorrow where I receive money for supporting my team. This is the money I pay forward to clear next month's bills. It's been a long time coming this month it feels.
Cheesed off yesterday - I've bought OH his birthday present (£99) but I should have bought it last week when apparently it was on special offer (£60) so my procrastination has cost me £39 and that's 2/3 of a tank of diesel.:eek:
Note to self!
Have a good day!

Morning all,
Yay! Big pay day today and it's been a long time coming it feels.
Transferring the money across from my business account to my personal account and then allocating it on YNAB. I use this big pay day to put money aside for next month's direct debits, and then allocate the balance to my longer term obligations (annual expenses like travel insurance, car insurance, car tax, etc. ), then I try to live off my weekly group earnings for stuff like groceries, diesel, dining out etc.
It seems to work for me. I overpay my mortgage by almost £200 a month and have done for ages - that's shaving off more than 10 years from the MFD. woohoo!!:j
Any little bits and bobs I try to save to my £1,000 Emergncy Fund for Dave Ramsey Baby Step 1. I'm kind of doing Baby steps 1 & 2 together, 2 being pay off the credit cards. Doing ok with this. Hope to be CC debt free by Christmas. Then I'll clear the new boiler balance (about £900) and then I'll start tackling the car finance.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
