I remember a post office cashier saying that she wouldn't continue to serve her customer because he was on his mobile phone.
And amazingly, while having the mobile phone glued to his ear, and between chatting to the person on the other end, he actually said to her 'I'm not on my phone' and he demanded she serve him.
It was really surreal to see his aggression and denial...0 -
I remember getting into a right panic about one of my friends being late. It turns out that I'd got the wrong day.:oSealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

When I renewed my driving licence photocard I decided to go to the post office next to my workplace. Unfortunately the cashier at the booth with the driving licence camera was dealing with a customer who seemed to have an unending list of questions about saving accounts or something. Not sure how long I was waiting, but it felt like about 20 minutes.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

I think keeping people waiting is the height of rudeness.
It just says 'my time is more important than yours'.
I too get annoyed when shop assistants are chatting.
I was in Poundworld yesterday and there were 4 staff on the shop floor, one behind the till and a queue of more than 10 people.
I also get annoyed when people stop in the most awkward place either to chat or rummage in their bags for their ringing phone.
Top & bottom of escalators and in shop entrances/exits are the worst.0 -
I don't generally mind waiting the odd 5 or 10 minutes provided it doesn't involve missing trains/planes/the start of shows. I can't understand the people who start huffing and puffing, and glancing at their watch the second a shop assistant and customer exchange brief pleasantries...are they REALLY so important that a 30 second delay will result in global catastrophe? Why don't they build in a few minutes slack to allow for slight delays?0

But, why should they have to? If you have 3-4 people infront of you and with each one they talk for 30 seconds, maybe a minute, then that's adding minutes onto your shop, and if you've just popped in in your dinner hour (or as ours was, half hour) then it's your valuable time they're taking up.
Is their time more important than mine? Do I not deserve a chance to have my lunch without time being taken of it?0 -

It's never a 30 second delay though, is it?
I've noticed a lot on the buses, some will start to get off the bus and will stand and talk to the driver. Why? Some of us have places to go.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

The bloke driving in rush hour this morning at 7.30am - through one of the busiest cities in the UK - at 15mph, with a large queue of commuters behind him
He was only 'speeding up' to 30mph on approach to traffic lights - then slamming on his brakes to get back down to 15mph. T0sserWith love, POSR0 -

The other week I used the bus, first time in a couple of years. Half way to town (a ten minute drive) the driver got off, and lit up a cigarette - leaving a full busload of passengers waiting!
I complained via twitter to the companyWith love, POSR0 -

I've only known drivers to do this when they've reached the final destination, are too early and are waiting to go.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
