  • Hi
    thanks Iona - ended up seeing Dr at walk in today and yesterday's was a mis-diagnosis. Now 6 prescriptions in 24 hours later he is on antibiotics, and assorted other stuff with proviso if not improved in 10 days to go to GP for naso-endoscopy - ugh. I now have a chart so he takes everything at correct times either before after or with food as appropriate.

    Thank you know who he isn't the chap I saw walking out of the chemists last night who had two huge carrier bags full for himself and his wife. That must take some organising!

    Not much done this afternoon apart from watching the quarter finals of T20 cricket - come on Lancashire!! - sorry to all Kent-ish peoples- it was very close.

    Need to get on tomorrow - that's definite!!

    Ho hum

    today I wanted to go to the car boot but both the Vallikids are working so I have had to abandon that plan (might have been muddy anyway) as I cannot go on my own because I will need the 'facilities'.

    In the meantime I have posted some items on FB in the hope I can sell them; one item (cat scratch post and bed) has gone. This is my sis who is having a clear out. We will split the proceeds I think.

    Other that pegging out washing and emergency uniform ironing I have done nothing; house is rapidly returning to vileness.

    Hi Ladies :j,

    I need some motivation!! The only thing I've managed to do today is have a lie in, shower and get dressed, oh and put a load of washing in *hangs head in shame*. I figured if I jot it down here then I am more likely to get it done. My plan of action for the next few hours or so are:

    * Tidy living room
    * Dust/Polish living room and dining room
    * Sort out recycling
    * Vacuum the entire house
    * Clean kitchen
    * Put another load of washing on
    * Return parcels

    Wish me luck, I think I'm going to need it!

    OMG how is it 9pm? I've only just got the kids to bed! Yikes!

    Just sat in the conservatory about to pin swim badges and beavers badges onto relevant garments - MIL has offered to sew them if I put them in the right places :A

    Not sure if I nodded off this aft... I could sort of hear the DVD playing and was vaguely aware of myself and the kiddies shuffling about, but not really awake IYSWIM...

    Anyway, today:
    Today's plan:
    Get showered and dressed.
    Collect parcel from PO depot.
    Take DD dancing (DS and I have a "make your own clock" kit to do while we wait)
    Meet dad for lunch - not confirmed.
    Some time in garden and tidying conservatory.
    Check with friend about meeting tomorrow- not confirmed either.

    All of the above done except the garden bit. I had to bring the washing in as it got rather dark!

    I've also packed bags for kiddies, as inlaws are taking them to the seaside so they are having a sleepover tomorrow after we've been to meet our friend.

    Right, I'll get on with my pinning! Rock n roll...

    Ironing done

    Took my family to a wildlife park today and whilst I was having my lunch a zebra just strolled by. Amazing.

    Ds2 had meltdowns before going and whilst there but I'm still glad we made the effort.

    House henried and bathroom cleaned

    I went to an excellent meeting yesterday and came away buzzing with ideas. I am now looking at mind mapping as a way of taking and making notes - love the use of colours and images, although I shall have to discipline myself to stick firmly to one word per branch :o

    If you like IT as well, there is lots of electronic mind mapping software - I use them a lot with my students! Most give the option of making a mind map then pressing a button and it turns into a list, with the hierarchy intact. I get student to plan their essays by mind map, turn it into list, import list into Word then hey presto they can use the list as paragraph headings.

    Sorry if you already knew that.

    Left MIL in Mr N's care while I zipped to gym to make up for missing yesterday. Did Body Attack and Body Balance, so feeling virtuous.
    Haven't really achieved a great deal though.
    - deleted a load of emails
    - put a few things away from various places
    - Mr N did 2 loads of washing and hung out. I just switched DW on!
    - picked beans, lettuce, rocket and tomatoes for lunch and dinner.
    - MIL struggling a bit putting eye drops in, so Mr N took her home after lunch and we picked her up later as I said she wouldn't want to cook for herself this eve.
    - went to tip
    - went to Tesc0
    - watched a film on TV!
    - realised in a panic I'm reading in church tomorrow, so rushed around to find the village magazine to see what it is. Luckily nothing unpronounceable.

    So, not much progress on sorting office which means it has to be tomorrow.

    Nothing except dailies done yesterday. Family round for the entire day and it was great fun. They brought their dog (who is a peach and utterly gorgeous) and she was loving running about with my mutts, although watching a Bulldog try to keep up with Ridgebacks was hilarious. Everyone shattered and happy by the end of the day.

    Laying in bed with a cuppa now. Need to do a bit more today, to keep on top of things, so my list for today is:

    Clean fish tank
    Take boys to the Sunday Barber
    Help construct the chicken run
    Tidy back patio area

    Have a lovely day ladies!

    My DH has never done another reading since he was in his early 20s: he crawled into church one Sunday morning very bleary eyed after a good Saturday night out, having forgotten forgot that he was due to read that week. Unfortunately it was the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - if you know it, you'll realise that the names come up several times in the passage... :rotfl:

    I didn't have a particularly good day yesterday as another migraine has turned up:mad: - only managed to do all the washing and start sewing up one of DGD2's skirts. However, I was up early today and have just finished them both, though the migraine is still grumbling on in the background.

    The rest of today will consist of church, lunch, sleep, DGD2's birthday party and Dragon's Den :D

    See you later. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
