Haven't caught up with Fred; sorry. Three more boxes of gibble removed straight from the attic to the scrap store - and they're very interested in something else I want OUT of the house. Yay! Two boxes of clothes sorted for the CS with more to come, ie go. That'll be 12 boxes and a Big Thing - in a week. Excellent.

I gather huge congrats are in order for Dance Son 1: :j:T:j

Well, were did the day go?!

Sinks and looks cleaned and that's about it. I have sorted some paperwork and filing - oh, I did an hour ironing first thing.

Spent the afternoon messing about with small people and mutts - dinner prepped and ready to cook in a while. Not a productive day, but a nice one :)

 Congratulations to Dance Son 1 and any other A-level students who did well today, my SS gets his GCSEs on 20th August

    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

CY - hope your chemo went as well as could and thanks for waving us on from your sofa

Valli - I'm pleased for you but a bit jealous too. I tried to see the star thingy last night, but even on the beach there was too much light about to see much at all, although it was lovely and clear

Dancemum - huge congrats to your DS1 and hope he loves uni

Mrs Pepperpot - hope you feeling a bit less over-whelmed. I found it best just to tackle one thing that had immediate feel-good factor about it such as clearing all the washing-up and work tops. As lots of people have said before 'Rome wasn't built in a day'.

I have to admit that I had an hour and a half sitting in the warm sunshine this morning. I read the papers, had my breakfast and two cups of tea and did a puzzle. It was lovely :D

    Left do this week
Three wash loads for the morrow including the bedding.
Empty a drawer and wipe it out.
Have a clear out and only replace in the drawer what needs to stay.

    Paperwork to sort and file
    2 x HHI
Pick up and get prescription for DH
    Shopping for myself
    Shopping list for week-end
    Turn-up new pair of shorts

    Excellent news Dance Son 1:T

    CY
hope today went well, and you're not too 'orribly zonked out. *fluffs up sofa cushion* There you go. :o Keep cheering us on from the sofa. ;)

"Interesting" day today; there was the most horrendous racket coming from next door - at one point I thought they were going to come through the lounge wall  (adjoins their garage). Of course Bailey & Cassie went bananas too, barking their heads off. I was outside playing with the dogs as I do each morning when Mr LW did his mid-morning call to check I was ok, so I told him about it - and held the phone so that he could hear. Next thing, S from next door came to my door apologising for the noise, he's moving his patio! Said he "suddenly realised" the noise must be bothering me. More like he overheard me talking to Mr LW on the phone.:D

My spare daylight bulbs for my craft lamp have arrived.:T

Postie also brought me a free 25-wash box of P£rsil - I have to use it for a fortnight and answer an online questionnaire, but hey, it's free washing powder so what's not to like?:D

Bread has been made (in the BM), also "trifle" type puds for today & tomorrow - not proper trifle, but I've cut up bananas and covered them in jelly (veggie crystals) and put a layer of custard on top. Next task is make dins - nut loaf, rice and sweet'n'sour sauce.

Haven't got much else done, as I was catching up on yesterday's emails, also I'm a bit rough as I have another whacking great mouth ulcer.

Carpet needs hoovering - but with these two here, it wants hoovering an hour after it's been hoovered!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • Evening all,

Just posting to say hello :hello:, no flying done since Tuesday really, yesterday had no guag, but also an extra child to look after, it was just one of those days where I was grumpy and nothing got done. Then been at mum and dads since last night as they looked after the monsters today while I was at paid stuff. And are very kindly doing the same tomorrow. CY, hope today went as well as it could. dancemum fab news, you must be extra proud. LW great news re Mr LW.
I will be back at home tomorrow evening, dd1 is having her first sleepover at her friends. They are growing up too fast for my liking :(

    Dancemum well done to DS
CY you can see you're always in our minds

Started the day with Body Balance, a bit gentler than all the manic aerobic stuff, but I've never been very flexible so it's still hard. I get a day off exercise tomorrow as MIL has her cataract op. Mr N has the day off, so I'll probably drop him and MIL to hospital then go off and do a few things in town.

    - Emptied DW.
    - Printed off last 2 reports and invoices, ready to post. Managed to work out electronic signatures after a fashion; it's required when I start the new contract.
    - packaged up some stuff that needs posting.
    - put some jiffy bags on Freecycle as I've got millions
    - sent birthday card
    - did various bits of folding, decluttering, returning to rightful place etc.
Mr N just put LED light bulb on landing so all cobwebs are clearly visible :(
Have started sorting out study/office ready for new windows on Monday. The first stage was writing out a loooooong list.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Managed a quick hhi tonight to temporarily clear the basket and packed most of the stuff into a bag for our camping weekend. Chilli is in the slowcooker for the morning. The forecast for tomorrow is awful! I just hope there is a little let up to allow us to get the tents up!

Downstairs is looking ok bupt can't wait until hubby goes back to work so I can get on top of it properly!
