Hope you're having a better day today CY.
Well all on my list is done except looking at the actual list which I will do once I've had lunch.
Orange cake looks pretty, not sure what it will taste like. Feel like I will be judged on my cake tomorrow but never mind.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
All of today's list is done. Just working my way up yesterday's, so first is ME time - going to tidy my nails again.Spend less now, work less later.0

Howdy
Grotty here too. Neighbours kids here and trying to keep things reasonably cheerful. Went for a stomp in some puddles resulting in me having to put a wash on with 3prs kids trousers and socks :rotfl:
Boys are about to complain when tablet time is up. The girls are dancing to Disney music
Not much else done except sorted out a fair pile of paperwork.
Roll on 3.45...Bossymoo

Bossy you have my sympathy. I used to occasionally look after a neighbours daughter after school if NDN got held up at work. The little girl wasnt too bad but she didnt have the best manners/behaviour and neither of my two wanted to play with her but it was hard to say no. Luckily it was rarely for more than an hour or two.
CY you make me feel humble by thinking of others when you are going through so much cr*p. Hope you are feeling OK.
Going to the shops. DS1 needs football boots. It could be traumatic but at least it gets us all out for a bit. Need to keep an eye on the spending!0 -
All applicable Thursday jobs done, just having a cuppa, will then start on Wednesday's. Noticed I'd already done the last one and some of the outdoor jobs (I always work from the bottom up).
Bossy, I will wish away the next hour and a half for you.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I'm out of steam. Will try to fit in another dog walk between showers, groom them both and then will sit and read.Spend less now, work less later.0

Peace resumes
he wasn't bad actually. He wasn't happy when mum came to collect them though, that was probably his grottiest moment of the day. Feel a bit sorry for him actually. He's quite defensive. Kept saying "it's not my fault" when I was putting his clothes in to wash. Told him it didn't matter - we had fun in the puddles and everything would dry. Seemed to calm down once he had some of DS clothes on.
Anyway, we are going to have a quiet night now. DD needs an early night...
(Me too)
Hope you're feeling better as the days wears on CYxxBossymoo

CY hope today is good.
I feel fairly pleased with myself today, considering.
- managed to get to mobile library
- picked up windfall plums on the way back through the village, tree is on some waste land.
- put beef in slow cooker
- had 5 mins to rifle through clothes as Mr N said he had some stuff to go to charity. I must say that sort of deadline is better than me anguishing over each item (especially if I no longer wear it because I'm a different size!). Identified at least 6 items immediately.
- dropped Mr N and his mum at hospital for her eye op and went off round town with my list of chores
- bought train ticket to get to Gatwick in Sept, and renewed my Network card
- Dropped stuff off at cs and managed not to buy anything else
- went to B&Q, got new towel rail/shelf. I'm now so adept at kondo, it irritates me to just drape towels over the radiator like we used to! This one has 2 nice mesh shelves and a rail; perfect for dry bath towels to be folded on and hand towel to hang.
- got paint mixed for bathroom
- got 2 new pairs of sports leggings as I seem to wash some every day
- got various items I needed from R@nge
- rewarded myself with a Cost@
- Went back to hospital, finally got home at 5pm as everything was so busy and op was late. Patted myself on the back for putting the beef in the slow cooker before I left.
This evenings plan, depending how sociable I need to be (MIL staying with us overnight), is to continue getting office in a fit state for window men on Mon.
Have a nice weekend all. As I missed it today, my plan is to go to the gym tomorrow. Early days but the scales read 1lb down after this week's marathon exercise. I was doing well on eating till I made the German Pudding for which I blame Ionafan entirely!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

narco My dishcloth is annoying me after decluttering my worktops. I used to drape it over the tap to dry but now I want a new home for it. Sad I know.
Had a nice afternoon, spent £75 in a well known sports shop on stuff the boys needed. Mind you DS has his eye on a pair of £85 footie boots. I won't be paying for those any time soon. I do need to get him some shirts for school though.0
