Yeah, where was Norman in all this?0 -
Oh, how I agree with this. People are welcome to bring their kids to the pub to sit in the garden or family area, particularly if they are eating. But I believe every pub should have a no-kids area. Pubs are primarily for drinking and that is not an activity for children.
Even when children do accompany their parents to a pub, they should be able to conduct themselves in a civilised manner and be able to sit at the table and keep themselves occupied. It is NOT acceptable for the little sods to run around the place annoying other diners/drinkers and screaming or crying all the time. It is up to the parents to keep them in check and up to the landlord to tell unruly ones to leave.
Wetherspoons have a sensible child policy regarding behaviour and a cut-off time for their presence. Shame they are not always keen to enforce it.
well said!
And Norman was down the Cash & Carry, but its his mothers Pasta bake tomorrow, so he needed to get supplies, I do adore his mothers Pasta bake0 -

yes, but unfortunately his wife ( who was in charge) is more concerned about her bunions/gaut/insomnia, all of which I heard no end of0 -
My personal bugbear is the mums who let their young child run up and down the bus while it's moving, annoy all the other passengers, and sit unsupervised at the back of the bus while mum busies herself with the pushchair at the front.
One of these days the bus driver will hit the brakes hard and the little darling's going to go flying. This, however, doesn't seem to have entered the mothers head. The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0 -

People simply do not seem to care any more, they just let them run wild0 -
I'd have phoned the licensing board, went outside & asked who's snot nosed little s**t this was & issuing a warning of my standard baby sitting rates which would immediately apply if they failed to supervise their offspring.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0
