    October update-

£500 OP zinged to the mortgage today
£250 added to 5% Reg Saver
1 more brick coloured in (in the 78k's now)

Not all great news though. 1 more year of exams has now started. This does come with some hefty fees which I am funding myself. That combined with 2 lots of car insurance and car tax and I now have around £2800 on another 0% credit card. I don't seem to be able to go many months without taking on some form of new debt..... sigh.

    November update-

£500 OP sent - £27k OP in total
1 month knocked off the term
    1 brick coloured in
    £250 5% reg saver - Savings at £27k

I still can't believe that if I had not made any OP's to the mortgage I would still have a balance over £104k. Nearly 5 years have been knocked off the term so far :)

Good news, I should have my degree fees refunded to me from my employer, once I pass!
Not so good news, it doesn't look like I will hit my December goal of £75k on the mortgage. I should be about £1200 out! Annoying.
    Total Mortgage OP £61,000
    Outstanding Mortgage £27,971
    Emergency Fund £62,100

Mortgage at £76,285 - I didn't quite hit my £75k goal but was close enough. I am happy with the progress I have made so far. Have been overpaying £500pm since the start of this diary and haven't missed a beat for over 3 years :)

    December update is as follows;

    £500 Mortgage OP - £27500 OP total
    £250 Reg saver - £28150 savings total
1 Brick coloured in - In the £76ks now
1 more month knocked off the mortgage term - 5 years have now been knocked off the mortgage term in total, so big milestone :D

Somehow managed to save an extra £500, so savings have outgrown the OP reserve account. Think it was a combination of overtime and reigning in the spending. I should be getting a bonus in Decembers pay packet so hopefully I can relax a little over Christmas spending this year and not have it come out of my normal wages.

1st exam taken for my final degree year. 50/50 whether I pass or not, was very different to lower level exams, so I really have no clue. Fingers crossed. Hopefully I will have 1 more update this year, when I get my bonus and any Christmas money. I hope to have a final increase in savings for 2018.
    Total Mortgage OP £61,000
    Outstanding Mortgage £27,971
    Emergency Fund £62,100
