I just managed to knock my TV, broadband and phone bill down from £69.99 a month to £61.99 and improve my overall package with upgraded features and extras. So £8 a month savings and more value for money IMO.
Tesco are doing quite a good deal on currency at the moment. Every £500 worth you buy, they give you £5 off the bill. That combined with double clubcard points if you buy using their clubcard creditcard and it works out nicely. Got my dollars all ready for vegas....... *does crazy excited dance*Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Hello Lippy just been reading your diary and really impressed with your progress.
I also do mad boot camp sessions - I really like them, mainly because I have no co-ordination and can't do aerobics, Zumba or anything like that. I end up just looking confused :rotfl: I have also recently started doing Park Run which I would like to say I enjoy but I don't. I am getting better and I am sure when the wheezing stops I will start to enjoy.
Very jealous of your trip to Vegas - it is great and I am sure you will have a fabulous time. I am going to check out the deal on currency at Tescos - we are going to Australia in October and I might get some Dollars early.0 -
Hi Busy Mee1, thanks for stopping by. I have a confession to make. I've not been back to boot camp for a few weeks now! Really need to make it a regular habit again because once the aches and pains stop it really is enjoyable lol. I think studying and exams have got in the way a lot but maybe I'm making excuses.
Good luck with the dollars. The deal is an easter special so runs out soon, although I can't predict what rates will be like in October
Not sure if you have a diary or not, but I will try to find it and read up on your journeyTotal Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Wow, I've not been posting for over a month!
Time has flown by. Work has been so busy with takeover/merging still going on, studying for my next exam which is only in a few days, holiday and enjoying some nice sunshine with the family over the weekend.
Vegas- If you haven't been, then GO. Its a must. Grand Canyon is amazing. The food was amazing, the sites, the activities, bright lights, music, limos, casinos..... Wish we had stayed another week. On a MSE side of things, I even brought home some dollars (about $115 but at least its something)
MF POV- £500 OP made on the 1st of May which now brings my total mortgage term reduction down to exactly 2 years saved. Well on track to getting under £100k this year
Hoping to get some decent savings this month after paydays. I will be having a good catch up of diaries soon. Hope everyone has been doing well.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Glad you had fun in Vegas!
Woo 2 years off the mortgage.0 -
First payday arrived yesterday. So far added £300 to savings this month. Waiting on Payday #2 now.
Is it worth trading in $115 back to GBP? No idea when I will next be going back to the US so not sure if its worth keeping.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
£60 Topcashback whizzing its way to my account. This will be put towards the next £500 OP.
Had a rather expensive last few weeks so not much saved. Will need to take the £440 OP shortfall from the EF savings pot to complete next months OP.
I hate seeing my EF loose money. Have to keep telling myself, its not taking money out of my savings, its just moving it to a different pot!Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0
