I'm back in the game.
Payday today so I have sorted all my monies in all different accounts, waiting for DD's to be taken next month. I've worked out after all bills are taken, I will have my £500 OP ready to hit the mortgage and savings of £300, rounding my 2nd Emergency fund off to a nice £4,500 figure
However, I have just paid for my Vegas trip, so that's £2k gone onto the new CC. And I will need to find some spending money, so may have to dip into the 2nd EF depending on how well I do with next months pay packet. Has anyone else noticed their mortgage has not increased with the daily interest today? When I log on my internet banking, I always see the balance increase day to day, but this day hasn't moved. It's still the same as yesterday.
Maybe the banks are giving everyone a break in interest to celebrate the leap year :rotfl:Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
DH was reading about that today - banks don't count interest for leap year. The article he read confirmed that they don't pay out interest (for savings), but didn't mention whether they count debts as interest. Guess maybe not!0
