So, I am now officially a wife

One of the most expensive experiences of my life is over. I should now have spare income each month, which I aim to save up and use as OP's. Also have some spare money now which was going to be spent on the wedding, but me being a bargain hunter and using my negotiation skills, we have managed to reduce our costs and have some left over wonga!

Tip for anyone getting married- Quite simply, enjoy every second. From the moment you get up and start getting ready to the moment your head hits the pillow at the end of the night. O and keep the drink flowing ;)

Off to the bank later to pay in our wedding money we got gifted by our guests. I cant believe how generous everyone has been.

Will update figures in my signature once I know totals.

Update - Total left over from wedding fund was £2500. Adding that to the EF for now. Massive chunk towards my £6k goal by 2017 :j

Paid some wedding cash into the bank and just done my first name change. Only another 57 thousand other things I need to change my name on :rotfl:

DH is normally darling or dearest husband I believe ( though I'm sure other D words could replace these?!

Payday today... not really a time for celebrating as the money is already spent :(

Credit card bills this month will be at a whopping £2k
Never had them that high in 1 month before. I was also kindly reminded that car insurance, tax and MOT is due in September as well, so that will be a nice drain on the savings.

Top that all with our holiday at the end of the month, I need to try and pull some spending money out of thin air without breaking into my EF.

Still got DH payday to come next week, so will see where I am then.

Going to be brave and do some calcs later and find out what our daily interest amount is on the mortgage. Wish me luck.
