    Good morning everyone.

Ive no tips about the weekend binging im afraid but if you know your trigger points oerhaps you csn work around them. Breakfast out could be quite heslthy. If you go for a full English and then skip the toast, maybe ask them for extra mushrooms or tomatoes instead of hash browns - that kind of thing.

Most cafes can rustle up an omelette if you ask them.

I'm afraid yesterday was a disaster ........I went out with family for a pub lunch and it was all ploughmans type stuff, so pies, cheeses, chunks of bread. Of course once I'd hit the carbs that was it, I was hungry all day and ended up,with stomach cramps.

Anyhoo. I'm at home all day today so I can get back with the programme....

The paint fumes are bothering me a bit too, paint gives me headaches and "painters colic".

Every time I say next time I'll pay a decorator but then I think of the cost and end up doing it myself and making myself Poorly. Never mind it will be worth it.

Have had a quick read through the posts that have accrued since I last was online..... looks like everyone is (just about!) sticking in there!
    Congratulations

Well, a cruise with all that lovely food was a great temptation but I'm glad to report that I only put on 3 lbs and with a "hungry day" (fasting day!) yesterday I'm down to just 2lb gain. In the main I stuck to healthy choices but now and again a cake caught my eye.

The cruise was lovely- fascinating too- across the Atlantic to Newfoundland, Labrador, St. Pierre (French with euros) and Nova Scotia. Not really summery weather but luckily the wind was only borderline gales one day. Swam a bit and danced every single day, lots and lots, so I have come home thoroughly enthused that somehow or other I have got to find some dancing locally. (Ballroom, latin & sequence) There were also good craft classes with some new ideas, shows every night........
Now off again to Ireland with the dogs- it's their holiday! I have every intention of being on the 5:2 (or 4:3) wagon from now on. Cheap and easy and of course weightloss too. I also take out a monthly membership at the local leisure centre and try to swim at least every weekday- great exercise and works out quite a bargain.

On the money front I have just bought a pretty dress (for dancing!) which is a teeny bit snug but WILL fit nicely soon from a charity shop. Anna Scholz for £5- have just seen the prices online- ouch! It was a bargain.

Anyone thinking of cruising- on sale from Sept 15th- Fred.Olsen have double inside cabins on all remaining cruises for 2015 @ £50pppn for 2 sharing. Has to be a bargain as that includes all food, shows etc. Don't know if any cabins will be left as they went on sale to loyalty card holders first. Needless to say singles have had no deal!!

Onwards and upwards with cash flow, and downwards with the lbs!

I've seen someone mention on here previously but for food shopping I'd certainly recommend Musclefood... Some people are a bit unsure about Musclefood and when I recommend it to my friends they always tend to be negative & I'm not sure why...

Essentially you get about 5KG Fresh Chicken Breasts (no water) for as little as £25 (about 25 Chicken Breasts) which is ridiculous compared to the likes of Tesco & Asda. I'd recommend using the deals website Fitness Deals, they offer exclusives on Musclefood.

Sounds like you had a fab time katiehound. I am doing badly in the £'s and lbs this week. Seem to be on carb overload and had a cake binge last night and going out for tea and to a gig tonight.

I borrowed money from a family member for a large purchase and was to pay them back what was left over but I misjudged how much I actually had in my own savings and now have made a bit of a whoopsie and left myself short. On the plus side the loan will be paid off much quicker (3 years instead of 5) but I need to find creative ways to earn some more bucks while not taking a 2nd job as it isn't allowed at my new place of work.

How is everyone else getting on?

Tomorrow is another day to get back on both wagons and stick with low carb. one carb leads to another with me :-(

I agree with the one carb leads to,another sentiment. Same here. I find them addictive, I eat them, they make me ravenous and I crave more. I'm so,much better off I restrct them to fruit and veg only.

well this last few days has seen me fall off the wagon.

We've been decorating, the kitchen and dining room are in chaos plus I get painters colic. I tend to just grab anything to fend off the nausea - it's worse than being pregnant.........

    As for money......

September is going to be very expensive - car insurance, service, two new tyres....ouch!

Hopefully today we will finish the decorating then I can sort out the kitchen and get back to healthy, LO carb, frugal eating.

    Good morning.

The bad news - ive put 2lbs on.

The good news - the decorating is finished, the paint smell is fading and my tummy feels better. The kitchen is fully functional again and I stocked up with healthy stuff again.

    So it's back to,the programme.......

9'weeks to my holiday, can I lose a stone.....will try.

DS2 will set up my new cross trainer this weekend and I'm going to see if we can set up the Wii somewhere.

    Money???? - don't ask.....lets just say - must try harder. :o

Just a little note about the seatbelt on an aircraft. Instead of being uncomfortable, just ask for an extension seatbelt. The crew won't bat an eyelid as they see it every day. Every airline have them.

This is the shame that stops people getting even fatter - the fear of the extension seatbelt!

I have fallen right off the wagon into carb heaven and lb-age hell so I will join you on that journey lessonlearned. I need to get back on the right track again but think I will leave that until Monday. I wasn't well on Friday after a dodgy meal out so that has staved off a lot of weight gain due to being chief runny bum for a day.

We booked our holiday today and it is much more expensive that I thought it would be but will be the holiday of a lifetime and I need to be slimmer to get the most out of it and be able to take part in all the amazing things on offer.

I have had a lot of financial outlays in the last few weeks so hopefully that is the end of it for a while and I can get on with a frugal food and money lifestyle enjoying the free things in life. I finally joined up to pinterest this week so will look for some inspiration on there during the times I am not moving around trying to jiggle some weight away.

    C'mon we can do this.

It is now less than 300 days until THE holiday and I have had a few no spend days and definitely haven't been buying as much 'stuff'. Travel insurance bought tonight as a belt and braces approach incase anything goes wrong so that was a necessary spend.

I also spent £30 on conditioner that arrived today. I am plagued with an itchy scalp but no dandruff and have tried so many things without success. Someone on MSE ages ago recommended a paul Mitchell hair and scalp treatment so I have finally caved in and bought it but being the money saver I am I will only use it on my scalp and use a cheaper one on the rest of my hair. Kerrrching! My first £550 went into the TSB this week too so hopefully that will become my holiday fund and rack up some interest too.

Wight loss is not going well and I am considering giving in and going back on a VLCD to kickstart the first few stone. I have done them before and once I get past the 3 day mark I manage ok but never manage to keep the weight off. If I do it this time for a few stone I will join WW when I come off it to instill better eating habits. Its so hard being a greedy mare!

Hope everyone is doing ok and the lbs are shrinking while the £'s are growing.
