Oven Pride is fantastic stuff and there's a kind of grim fascination in watching the gunk slowly come off the racks after you've bagged them up, but cleaning the oven itself is a thankless task that just seems to take forever.

I used Oven Pride, it cleaned most areas brilliantly but kept 'falling off' the roof of the oven and I was continually having to re coat it.

How often do I clean? Well, I'd better ask himself, he is the cleaner here and he is brilliant at it.

    Cleaning breaks my nails. LOL

I have resolved that next time I clean the oven I am going to withdraw it from the housing cabinet and turn it upside down to do the roof properly.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Same here. IMO my DH cleans far too often. Left to me I'd only clean when it needs it but he seems to prefer to have a weekly routine. Since I'm not being asked to do it I just leave him to it. He seems to find it therapeutic.

I do clean up the kitchen and bathroom after I've used them but that's not proper cleaning more just wiping surfaces and generally leaving the rooms as I found them.

OMG, the routine sounds just like my DP!! And the rest that you do is just me too. Maybe we are related!

The cleaning is on Saturday morning (whether it needs it or not), everything is dusted, vacuumed, mopped and so on.

I can hear this from my bed as I languish with a lovely cuppa and Radio 4.. The good life and a good partnership. I hope!

I do all the bills, books, tax returns visiting elderly and ill relatives, and all that. Just to mention that I am not a total git..... lol.

I do a quick clean of the kitchen and bathroom every day - wipe down surfaces and proper clean once a week. Hoover and do a clean and tidy once a week if I have time. I live on my own and work full time so don't have much time for cleaning as I'm usually doing other stuff on my days off.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)

Remarkable similarities! As I type I can hear the Dyson working away downstairs. His sister is coming later so no doubt the house needs to be extra clean and tidy!:rotfl:I've put wine in the fridge and prepped our meal so, like you, not a total idler;).

A ten minute quick hoover each day, kitchen cleaned and bathroom wiped down after each use.

Full clean once a week, and a deep clean every month.

It's probably quite sad that I can't wait to get a steam cleaner.
