Think it'd cost as much as the bag did originally...a cheap half price job in Sbugs back in 2013.

The small size healthy back bag is £129 which seems plenty big enough so will debate with myself whether it's a wise investment after Christmas :rotfl:

    Evening :)

Sorry LiL, work stuff dragged me away this morning. Ahh, you've got a Vuu in that case ;) I recognise the freebie! I got a mag subscription this year, a real treat as stopped buying those and newspapers when I joined here in 2006 and worked out the annual spend

That's another film DS wants to see - Star Wars! Great it goes right across the ages and bet your DS chuffed with his new cabin bed and bedding.

You ask a simple question...and I can't manage a short answer :rotfl: It's about half a month - minimum repayment capital would be.. (consults spreadsheet :D) £641.90, so the OP is 55.8% at £358.10. It will mean another month comes off the end date, taking it to 7.36... but I'm still in two minds about sending so much as need to bulk up savings with the £7k going out in March for the car.

New trial contact lenses arrived in post - got a visual migraine as the day wore on, the changed one feels a bit too strong but shall give it time.

DS's Halif@x Reg Saver renewal letter arrived - complicated by him turning 16 during the next saving year it apparently means the whole amount would be taxed as it's parent held..so appointment made to move at the end of this one to their Junior ISA and not start another - it's 0.25% lower than N@ationwide at 3%, but goes up to 4% at 16 (as rates stand).

Had to buy milk at £1 from local shop today as ran out  which means the weekly food shop needs to happen tomorrow.

Everything else ticking over as it should :) and off to have a word with myself as I don't seem capable of writing short posts!!

You seem to be doing really well, Ali. :)

Dreading the time coming when son wants to go to the cinema. He asked to watch a film today because they did that at school. Don't have a TV was a great excuse and I'm not sitting watching a whole film on the computer, he will be going to his grandparents to do that.

Incapable of writing short posts too and also have to reply to everyone that replies to me, even though it's often to say the same thing twice. :o

    Thanks Alex :)

Do you not like going to the cinema? Maybe Little K will get invited to go with others when he gets older too (can be a popular birthday party choice).

I'll try a short post for a change :rotfl:

Really not interested in going to the cinema. Holding a children's birthday party at one is my idea of a nightmare. Happy for son to go with others, so long as it's in moderation.

Perhaps a little off topic but still related, I especially dislike films based on books. The book is always better and seeing an imagined image realised really quite ruins it for me.

Quite agree, I've never seen 1 film that has been better than the book

    And TV shows too.

There was a series recently based on the Merrily Watkins books by Phil Rickman.

When I'm reading the books I imagine a feisty female vicar..... in the TV show she was a limp lettuce of a woman!

Agree with that, though neither of us had read Lady In The Van.

Food shop done last night with a spend of £22.18.

    Nothing else to report :D
