Sounds a lot of thinking going on in here! Hope you are ok - happy weekend!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Well that's the weekend almost over and not too much damage to the budget.
Opticians on Saturday was an eye opener (pardon the pun) vision suddenly back to being able to see the bottom row of letters - first time in 2 years :j but no advance on driving situation
Some new drops and a spend of £12.60 and back in 6 months. Changing right eye power and free lenses being sent in post from them once in stock to try (I buy mine online). Free car parking too.
Took DS to see Spectre (or Sceptre as I've been calling it :rotfl:) and used up his free ticket, which the counter guy used against the adult ticket, so paid £6.20 total
Meals from stocks, usual housey bits done. Mate popped over and chainsawed the hedge back into shape. DS done his homework without prompting.
Feeling quite down today, worrying about everything and lost motivation for SE. Can see a pattern that has run through my life so am making notes for CBT lady on Wednesday. It's nothing in comparison to the tragic events of Friday night though
Meanwhile, I've allocated a safe, rather than challenging amount, of £850 to the mortgage for December - a £205 OP. When I think back to this time 2 years ago, I wasn't paying any of the capital (and hadn't done since I left work in 2009), and still hitting the debt hard. Next month will see me hit £20k paid off and only slightly behind the 11 year plan by £120. Might have to find that from somewhere :rotfl:

Another lady doing awesomely paying off debt - well done!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thanks DFOD, was a sense of freedom and loss all in one go when the debt had gone. Having the MFW journey already on the go was definitely a positive for continued focus and the long awaited garden make over finally became a reality. I also think the extension could be way over the original loose budget (if it gets PP) so in all probability it'll stay an idea for a good while...needs a lottery win!
Now I need to find an extra £21...to get to £112,999 and be £1k behind you. It's not much, but it is when I'm already challenging the budget with the aforementioned £120! And a short December, probably quieter Jan/Feb too.. the change bucket might be where I can find additional.
Opted to do an early weekly food shop tonight as out of a few basic needed things. Spent £27.26.
Sbugs double up starts tomorrow (18-24th), annoying they're not doing it on frozen desserts again this year, but they are on clothes and DS needs stuff, so will aim to get up there one evening.
Financials then:
- bank accounts checked
- freepostcode lottery checked (but keeps being really late with emails)
- Inbox £s at £11.94
- Qmee - 72p
Hope everyone's staying safe in these high winds, I've rescued the watering can that flew across the garden taking a ton of pansy heads with it.Back on the DFW Wagon:
