So as 2015 starts to hurtle towards it's end, I wanted to get to the bottom of how much I've really OP'd since the start of 2014.

The monthly payment to pay off at end of set term was £1032.41 and I'd been using that as the ongoing minimum too. Reality is that the minimum has reduced and therefore OP's have been slightly higher. Woop :j

So a new OP to date figure (drum roll please :D) £4,539.77 - an extra £349.88 on what I thought. :T

Going to enjoy updating sig :D

Ali, only you could bring us a late evening 'Spreadsheet Fiddling Addendum' :D

Fantastic stuff. It's frightening how the year goes so fast and we crash on to the year end. Fantastic that you can look back and see how much you've achieved :) !!

Alex - spreadsheet fiddling is a great use of an iPad :D, but generally seems to be the tablet of choice for many - even King's Hospital were using them for patients to complete surveys on :)

Broggers - the OP figure was niggling me and 2016 sheets needed setting up, so an opportune moment to sort it out :)

Can't believe there's 2 years worth of stats rather than just a plan - that step of committing to sort the mortgage out and pay off the CCs in my first diary back in October 13 seems a distant memory now, but will never forget that moment I told the MSE world and how far we've all come on our shared journeys. Incredible :T

A flurry of financial activity today, as have been accepted for the T$B Classic Plus and funded it with £2k from the 0.75% savings at Ll0yds, plus £250 for the Saver which I've also opened. Just waiting on the activation code to be able to transfer that and set up the SO for it. :j. Sorted preferences all to online, so should now be set to receive the max interest - just got to put in my budget a reminder to do a monthly money shuffle in and out of it.

Busy work week too and and may pay myself early for the month on Friday. Hope everyone's had a good Monday :)

Can you not do this by SO? That's our plan (just had a flurry of account-opening ourselves to get everything onto 5%/away from S@ntander) - stagger SOs across a few days to shift money into/out of all the accounts so that they all get their required payments in (as illustrated here: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-loophole)

Yes and I probably will, as mid-month doesn't cause any problems with a widely variable pay myself date :D

:rotfl: I don't see the point in tablets at all, or in surveys for that matter. Spreadsheets I see the point of but life is far too short ... ;)

And the mortgage even shorter...with a spreadsheet ;):D

The point of them - portability both at home and out and about. Good for working away from office base. Makes life more efficient which suits me ;)

XXL turkey for big family lunch now in the half chest freezer - cost zero as used Nect@r points :).

More sides of the glorified shed painted as DIYer plans to build it on Sunday - a tight deadline as so much to do still . For once, I don't mind if it rains as forecast and gets delayed :o

Can't say I've ever felt the need to be contactable 24/7. Unfortunately, I can't get away with letting the mobile 'phone run out of battery and "forgetting" to charge it for a couple of weeks these days.

Weather meant to be sunny on Sunday Lil...I'm up against it now with the painting!

Alex :rotfl: If you don't know how spreadsheets drive MFWs by now...what can I say!

Weekly food shop done and predictably high bill of £41.04, though it included some items for Christmas...I'll add a few each week so it spreads the cost.

£172 application fee paid today for the planning permission application and 8 weeks of waiting ahead of me. I'm sure it'll be a roller coaster ride waiting on the neighbours letters, any comments or objections in the 3 week window and what minor changes might be required by the Planning Dept and then that all important decision. Glad I'll be kept busy with work and Christmas prep so I don't think about it too much.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Inbox Pounds - up a tad £9.70
    - Qmee - picked up 6p

Dinner then more summer house panel painting tonight in the garage!
