Agree with you there, especially with 2 dogs next week you'll probably want to wear them out regularly!

DS is in first year of GCSE courses and just starting controlled assessment coursework where marks accrue and then final exams are next year. All different to when I did O levels!

A NSD hopefully :D. Finish the border off this morning whilst the sun is out as rain due later - indoors then and get the housework done, month end accounts to do and a To Do list that needs attention! Add in ferrying DS to and fro and the day will whizz by as usual!

    Not great weather here again.

:rotfl: I've had the two dogs together before. My parents don't believe me when I tell them that they're absolutely crazy together when they're here. Their dog is quite quiet and seems to calm mine down when we're at the parents' but here, there's an opposite effect and mine seems to get the other one into all kinds of mischief.

    I hope he's focused. :)

Been very lucky with the weather as apart from a heavy shower at tea time today, it's been a warm and sunny weekend. Abandoned indoor plans to enjoy being outside which meant the back garden got added attention and is looking fab once more. Bit of pruning and weeding in the front in time for green bin collection tomorrow.

Good luck with the dogs this week, Alex :)

DS had a good time out with his friends - I think it's important he gets out and away from studying and relaxes. He's been back on the homework today. School's predicting A's across the board from recent parents evening and thankfully he's not feeling any pressure, unlike one of his mates who was off for a month with a serious stress related illness.

Forced myself indoors this afternoon to get half the housework done. Only problem with sunshine is noticing how dirty the windows are  Added cleaning those to the list now!

    Financials
    - monthly use and pay off CC rolled over - full payment set up
    - FPL and LP being checked - picked up 50 pts on the latter, pot now worth £2.50 but payout is £10.
    - Qmee pot up at 66p
    - Inbox £s up at £6.76

Been a productive and spend-free long weekend, though BBQ weather is apparently coming...I haven't owned one for probably 20 years and DS has suggested having friends round for one...looks like I might have to go shopping and get us both some practice in!

Back to same old tomorrow, but only 4 weeks to next BH :)

:rotfl: Thanks. :) Managed to somehow pull some muscles in my neck / shoulder so not particularly looking forward to having two lively dogs in the house, to be honest.

Sounds like you've had a nice bank holiday weekend and the weather hasn't been too bad. Here it's not been great again.

Very sad to hear one of your son's friends has been off school with stress related illness, it seems to be getting more common. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a lot of support for such things within school. Whilst I was fine at school, I wish we had been taught how to deal with stress. I think learning coping mechanisms early and people having a greater understanding that some find being under pressure very negative could prevent much of the exam stress and later work stresses seen.

Sounds like you had a good weekend - weather wise as well. We only had 1 day that was any way decent, by that I mean dry bit it was still cold, by that I mean freezing, so got happed up and cut grass and hedge at front. That was enough for the time being :)

Feel your pain on the dirty windows. The little bit of sun we had last night showed up the conservatory, and there's far too many windows in there!

Ouch Alex - hope it improves soon, particularly with the dogs and hope they don't play you up too much :)

DS's mate seemed ok up until the Easter break, but it's often the way that illness comes out when off. Hopefully it can be managed going forward.

More decent weather today here and a good forecast for the week. Hope it gets warm and sunny for everyone this week :) No fun doing outside jobs when it's cold - you did well there AFK.

:rotfl: at the pain/pane pun SJ! Don't envy that much glass to clean! Set of french doors here that have the bottom half covered in paw prints to do are the worst

Not much to report financially today, other than the usual exodus of DDs and money shuffles. Should see that lovely tax-free interest for the first time tonight or tomorrow on a few accounts :j

Thanks, Ali. :) A bit better today but wife has taken the dogs for their evening walk. :rotfl:

We had a nice evening but I was doing music teaching and before that my wife and I were frantically trying to get the house looking a bit more tidy (pupil's parent always makes slightly rude comments).

Keeping the spreadsheets going, though. ;)
