Can't say I understand why anyone would want to buy a new build on some ghastly development.
You're right about the north / south property divide. I was just saying on someone else's diary that had I a choice and no commitments I'd like a place on Anglesey with a sea view and about 6-7 acres. Would cost a little if anymore than my current place.2018 totals:

Lovely sunny day here and garden digging topped the To Do list, so two thirds of the border completed, hopefully finish the rest tomorrow if I don't ache too badly!
Elec reading taken and submitted as month end.
Not much else done aside some usual housey tasks.

The weather has been awful here, so you've been lucky or is that the reason there's a premium on house prices in the south?
I don't find gardening fun at all. Hope you got your son working too.2018 totals:

:rotfl: Definitely luck today!
Enjoyed being outdoors after such a prolonged cold spell and fun watching the dogs play, run, roll and then sleep on the grass.
DS has been kept busy with homework and revision today as he's off out with his friends tomorrow. I let him offBack on the DFW Wagon:

My son has been riding still this morning but we had a quiet afternoon indoors apart from the obligatory dog walk. Not so fun when the weather is bad. Hoping for better weather next week as we'll have two dogs in the house (parents going to Spain).
Is this your son's GCSE year?2018 totals:

Agree with you there, especially with 2 dogs next week you'll probably want to wear them out regularly!
DS is in first year of GCSE courses and just starting controlled assessment coursework where marks accrue and then final exams are next year. All different to when I did O levels!debtfreeoneday wrote: »What's your plans today if you are letting DS out for the day?
A NSD hopefully. Finish the border off this morning whilst the sun is out as rain due later - indoors then and get the housework done, month end accounts to do and a To Do list that needs attention! Add in ferrying DS to and fro and the day will whizz by as usual!

Sky is staying, but took up a 20% off offer - saving £60+ for the year.

That's a decent saving Ali. I need to ring in next week or so to cancel movies and sports package we had on a 50% deal. Tempted to cancel the whole thing!
I can't wait for the weather to warm up! I've had to bring some plants inside to save them. Sunny days really motivate me to get into the garden.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I had a 50% deal too last year and we've basic + variety (so £25.75 a month full price). Am with you and was tempted to cancel, it's just DS and one channel with programmes we can't get on any other tv outlet. Frustrating, but he doesn't do other activities like he used to (drum lessons, model club, etc), so I see it as a cost of his 'leisure'.
I've more energy when the sun is here...great to come out of hibernation from the winterBack on the DFW Wagon:
