What I love about this post is your sister's straight forward honesty in setting out exactly what your costs will be before you make your decision.

I wouldn't feel guilty, she obviously gains with you being there. I think you should go.

Yes to be fair when I went last year even when I offered to pay for things they wouldnt let me. Will decide today.

I have a dilemma. My sister and husband want to go to Portugal this month. As her hubby is partially disabled after a stroke she likes to take someone else with her in case there is a problem. I went with them last year and only had to pay my air fare. We had a lovely time. Now this year she has invited OH and i for a week at the end of the month. She says they will pay the villa and car hire and all we need is airfare and spending money.
However having just spent a lot of money on our daughter's wedding we are a bit tight for money. But we could manage it if we tighten our belts this month and next. Also she did the wedding at cost and I feel a bit guilty taking advantage of their generosity. ??

No need to feel guilty at all. Would your sister & dh go without you & if they did would they be able to relax & enjoy themselves? They'd have to pay for a car & somewhere to stay anyway. If they hadn't of enjoyed the holiday last year they wouldn't have suggested it to you. To me it sounds a very good exchange but I understand entirely where you're coming from. Put the guilt away & have a lovely break x

  • Morning everyone

Noticed the red kidney beans on Sloppy are 2 for 1.20 in T's from today making them a better deal than Morries, not showing on MSM but on t.com.

For the winners (and future winners) of Bernard Matthews, items which are 2 for 3 in A's will be reduced to 1.50 each in T's from 23 Sep and others will also be reduced. A v's T for a little back maybe.

    Off to work now, Lilly

    Good morning all...

lots of love and positive vibes to LS...

If anyone is off on holiday soon, hope they have a wonderful time(and that includes the chickens too)!!!

cjj...Got my fingers crossed for you

...and me well I'm very much feeling the redundant spare part....We finally got permission for DS1 to drive to school and take his brother so for the past 2 days thats what they have been doing...commuting by themselves.
It not only leaves me feeling redundant but its also impacting my shopping routines as I now cant pop into T for the deli meat reductions at the start of day....and now that the boys seem to be driving to their after school activities too thats having a major impact ob the end of day reductions in W and T which I previously woould have popped into on a monday and Tuesday evening....

I'm going to have to find a new routine before the freezer needs restocking....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

    Morning all
Rose of course you should accept the chance of a holiday. You will be helping each other out. It will do you good to have a break away in the sun. Go for it and enjoy, your sister wouldn't have asked you if she didn't want you to go.
LS I hope you are feeling better today.
FC I love the fact that you are considering sitting in the shed so the kids can use their shiney new keys....wonderful :D
Nannylala enjoy your road trip today, ladies doing lunch and shopping...perfect.
cjj keeping fingers crossed for you.
    Enjoy your day everybody x
