  • Good morning all, cloudy here!

LS, hugs from me, I really hope they manage to get everything under control quickly for you.

FC - no stalking  I still remember the first time my little DD walked to school on her own, it was nerve wracking enough for me and she has no other challenges to face!
    Morning all :D

I'm sure there's something I'm meant to be doing today...

Got lots to do today but I'm sure I'll pop in at some point. There's wifi at the hotel so I'll definitely be around in the next couple of weeks :)

Enjoy your holiday. Is it too late to tell you you can get waterproof covers for your kindle?

I have a dilemma. My sister and husband want to go to Portugal this month. As her hubby is partially disabled after a stroke she likes to take someone else with her in case there is a problem. I went with them last year and only had to pay my air fare. We had a lovely time. Now this year she has invited OH and i for a week at the end of the month. She says they will pay the villa and car hire and all we need is airfare and spending money.
However having just spent a lot of money on our daughter's wedding we are a bit tight for money. But we could manage it if we tighten our belts this month and next. Also she did the wedding at cost and I feel a bit guilty taking advantage of their generosity. ??

Hope LS will be ok. I think the problem is these days people are chucked out of hospital too quickly and dont always get told about what they need to do at home. Although Sepsis is serious she has age on her side. Thinking of her today

Don't feel guilty. I'm sure the way she sees it you are doing her a favour and giving her peace of mind to enjoy her holiday too. Take the chance to recharge your batteries after your busy time recently.
As for money, you needn't spend a fortune. When I went a few weeks back, other than some nice meals out, I hardly spent anything. I was happy just to enjoy the peace and the sun.

    Just go for it :D

I think the biggest question is do you want to go?

Hope you are feeling a bit better Ladyshopper
at least you are in the right place to get the care necessary

..I think that you should have been kept in as people who live on there own cant rest and recuperate and do too much just in the terms of caring for themselves .....sod the cost of keeping anyone in hospital until they are capable of looking after themselves ....and all profits from the lottery should fund this before arty farty opera etc are given grants ie any thing we can do without should be last in the queue until we get our NHS back up to elite standards
