ditto from me - it just seems so vastly unfair and unjust that one person (and one family) can have so much dumped on them
Main thing is to concentrate on the here and now - have you got the official fit to fly letter so Portugal is still on?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Although I'm not sure how much the person on the other end would appreciate my shouting every 2 seconds and !!!!!ing at the players i don't like  :rotfl:
Just heard a really loud noise, couldn't figure out what it was, turns out it's thunder! Weather is mad here today, was lovely earlier as well.
It was thundering here earlier weather doesn't know what to do0 -
Morning all.
DD2 made a silly mistake when she booked her travel insurance and only noticed when she went to print out this morning that she had put year of birth as this year.
So she has had to cancel and take out a different one, she did it earlier when I was still not with it so not sure if she has chosen best one but it's done now.
The clause that concerns me is they will not pay if you get taken to private hopsital only if you go to public ones how will this work in USA? Would appreciate any insight before she goes. TIA
Asked hubby - Public hospitals tend to be in larger cities, It would be a State run hospital. eg. in New Orleans it's Charity Hospital which is run by the State of Louisiana. Things like the Baptist Hospital or other religions such as Lutheran, Methodist et. are normally private.
She should be aware that ambulances may not take patients to public hospitals depending on distance from accident/injury. Some ambulances are just contracted to private hospitals too.
State run hospitals, often University run can be good at getting problems sorted quickly but not so good on aftercare.
She really needs to do some research on the hospitals near where she is traveling to, in order to find out which hospitals she needs to go to to qualify for the insurance.
It's not something we've ever seen on our insurance documentation so possibly she didn't pick the best insurance. Hopefully she'll won't need it.0 -

I'm not sure if I'll need a fit to fly certificate or not but the thought has crossed my mind earlier to deal with the insurance. I'll get it done tomorrow along with a few other things I've been lagging behind with these last couple of weeks.
The rest of today is reserved for pottering and being lazyNormal service resumes tomorrow.
I need to pull my finger out as well and think about getting the school stuff sorted! I've got 2 entire uniforms and PE kits to get and If I leave it to last minute stocks will be scarce, plus shoes, trainers and boots, pants, socks, shirts, school bags :eek:I'm usually much more organised. I need a list :rotfl:0 -

It's scary how quickly it's crept up  I need new everything as they've changed most of the uniform and PE kits this year. Not that much of last years would have fitted anyway they way these two are sprouting!
I might even start the hunt for DS2 shoes tomorrow. It's hard enough normally that he's a H width fitting and can't tie shoelaces......very limited choice without paying an absolute fortune.....but he's also a size 6.5 now which seems to be too big for most kids styles and too small for men's.0
