Right I am off to finish emptying the case and starting the machine despite the rain

We had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh, feel like I've been steam rollered today, OH is in work as usual

As for the M-I-L issue - moving house is not a solution unless one of you leaves the country which is a bit of a drastic solution

The only comfort I can offer is that probably you are 20 to 30 years younger than your M-I-L so by the law of averages you will outlive her - I wish someone had said this to me when we were starting out :)

cjj. Look for a food hygiene course at basic level. the local environmental health might do a course. i think this now called level 2. these courses are not expensive.

Just google, there may even be an online course...

Thanks Rosie was just looking at that but over whelmed with choice. Can anyone please recommend a good course. Tia xx

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.

Been struggling lately as my life has so many restrictions that it sometimes feels hopeless. Any how been racking my brain as to how I can move forward and I've come across a job I'm nearly sure I could do. Would get me out and mixing with people. Only trouble is my cv is obviously not great and the ideal candidate would have food hygiene cert which I don't. If I could get an interview I would stand a better chance I think but that's the hard part. Usually my cv is just discarded. Any tips please ? Tia xx

I've looked at a few cvs for people on the employment board, I'd be happy to look over yours if you wanted :)

level 2 food hygiene in manafacture or catering. Everyone in food starts on this course.

this is a very straight forward course, it will explain personal hygiene, food temperatures, bacteria, cleaning etc. No reason that you can't do this course.

choose the one that suits your finance and ability to get there. Nothing wrong with online.

level 2 is for general food handlers, 3 is for supervisors, 4 is for managers.

don't feel overwhelmed. PM me if you like.

as for cv's you put the best bits first. Education or experience. Again google...

don't feel down. You will be an asset unfortunately it's often whom you know. Maybe just find a stepping stone.:)
