All this discussion of various baked goods, anyone else here absolutely adore Lardy Cake? I was brought up in Sussex and this is now an occasional treat because I am fairly sure it is not good for you at all, but it is really very nice

Morning Elite,
been AWOL for a while, RL getting in the way. I've skimmed back a little but no chance of catching up with all I've missed.
Udi's compared yesterday.
Can I ask please, is the bacon mentioned the unsmoked twin pack v S or the smoked v M or another? TIA.

Good Morning

Its also raining here on my last day of the holidays
Cant call tomorrow last day because I am going on a full day health and safety course . Must remember you don't wash the chickens
was a big debate 3 years ago when I went on the last course
I just sit there hoping they don't ask me a question I hate being in crowds and wish it was half a day like it normally is. 0 -

We have been to North Wales / snowdonia a couple of times and by a river over a little bridge was an ivy covered tearoom. I had never had welsh cakes before but this where devine, we got a few extra packs to take home. Are there any welshies here that remember welsh cakes ?
my mum (nan) use to make them for me and cook them on a piece of iron my dad made for her on top of her cooker ring
they were round and flat and had sultanas in them
ive tried a few recipies but they just dont taste the same as the ones mum made
The location is a little vague, I know, but someone else posted a pic of this tearoom a while back so maybe they can remember where it is!RISEABOVEHATE
