Right everyone, I am getting seriously worried. I have one unopened pack of Nouvelle left. Am I actually going to have to pay for loo roll? Didn't manage any of the sada stuff :(

I know I've been going on about it for ages but it's crunch time for the loo rolls. Bank Holiday visitors will force my hand:o

It might have to be Nicky from HB:o

    Good morning all
I had a quick skip back over last nights posts, thank you all posters.
The talk of sweets in days gone by was really nostalgic. I remember well the days when (this will show my age) fruit salads and black jacks were 4 for 1 old penny, fruitellas were a penny a stick and nutty logs were 2 pennies. The Cadbury milk tray bars were one of my favourites too, you didn't get the same flavours in every bar. Loose sweets in jars, proper pear drops, the different coloured sherbets (the stained fingers you would get from it-) those were the days.
tweets love your kitchen, looks absolutely lovely.
Martin I wish your precious dog a speedy recovery. Who would have thought an insect could do that. I bet you feel inclined to take the trees down.

    Good morning
One of my first jobs was as a peepenny lady working for my Auntie who ran a pub and coach stop on the old London to Brighton Road.

I had to collect the old pennies and clean the seats e.t.c before every use.So 40p is about 100 times more plus no personal service than it was in 1961.

    Hi Elites

This is probably all wrong but here is how I made some cash this morning.

Go into Mr S and buy exactly the following:

    Wholemeal Farmhouse £1
    JS Foil Containers £1.55
    Basics S/Raising FLR £0.55
    Sunpat Nat crchy pb £1.50
    JS Caster Sugar £1.40
    JS B/C Pork LRG £1.80

    S.Pell lemon 6 x 330ml £4
    S.Pell Orange 6 x 330ml £4

Total to pay minus 0.60 meat multi buy = £24.19

Generates a £0.15p brand match when compared to Mr A.

Here comes the womble science :)

Semi skimmed was 69p instead of £1 (+0.31)
Upload reciept to Shoptize for 0.25p
Upload same reciept to Clicksnap 5p

Triple Mr S points voucher sticking out of SS machine gives a value of 0.24p on transaction

Also sticking out coupon giving the bearer £6 or 1200 in nectar points on a £60 shop. I haven't included that here as I haven't realised that coupon.

    Brand match as above 0.15

1p roadkill outside Mr S as I packed my bike!

I believe showing all workings that gives me £1.01 to start the day?

Memories are flooding back now. When I worked in the garden shop I used to be dared to eat different things. I quite happily ate raw mushrooms, and I found out that charcoal dog biscuits actually tasted quite nice :D

I also remember one time when I was 14, there was this young muscular chap came in and bought a bag of spuds. I mean the 54lb one. Out of habit I offered to carry it to his car and he said yes, so I did! At that time I was very strong but looked like a stick insect, picked it up easy as anything and put it in the boot of his extremely expensive sports car, he didn't even say thank you

I still eat raw mushrooms :)

    Help pretty please.

Youngest son has now got a mini samsung like his normal tablet for using as an e reader :j - he was running out of paperbacks :D

So OH said he would download some books and magazines onto a micro SD card for him and I could then post it to youngest son - (the post is very fast, if I send a letter it takes less than a week to arrive, very impressive).

So I asked him for a reading list and so far he has come up with
    Lord of the Rings
    Harry Potter Books.
I know he has 3 Harry Potter books on the mini Samsung already so I need to check which ones but he was saying they are very expensive on E books - £5 each

Does anyone know of a cheaper method of getting these?

He has also asked for books by a Japanese writer called Haruki Murakami - has anyone heard of him, what sort of books does he write?

Just checking now which ones he has already got.

OH is also going to upload mags he likes eg Top Gear. climbing, walking, mountain biking mags etc ...

I am sure OH has already got a spare micro SD card but if now how much are they and where can you get them from?

I've also sent him the BookBud link - is there anything else similar?
