I loved the rowntrees butterscotch gums, in the same type packet and with the little bumps on that the fruit ones had.
If anyone is near Cheshire Oaks and wants marrows or plums I have plenty.:)0 -

I remember MB bars (Monster Bars). They were chocolate covered mint fondant pars like fry's chocolate creme but wider and chunkier. I don't think they were sold outside Scotland.
Anyone remember Apple Stroodles small chunks of chocolate-covered apple in a big flat apple-shaped bag?
or Caramacs or Pink Panther bars?
I remember the Pink Panther bar there was also a Rupert the Bear orange bar Caramacs was one of my favorites if its the same one that's around today lots of the retro bars are still made and sold abroad0 -

Good afternoon lovelies
Loved reading all the first job posts...I was also a paper girl once a week after school delivering our free local paper....
Strange thing I was only talking about it to mr monkey the other day... I also filled in for others in areas I wasn't familiar with during summer holidays when others were away which consisted of my local area boss's boss picking me up in her car... Dropping me off with 3-4 bags of papers and collecting me 2 hrs later...
Not sure thinking about it now if I'd let DD do that I don't even know if my parents actually knew where this woman was taking me at all they certainly didn't know her well enough:eek:
I did this until I was nearly 17.I earned between £5-£9 depending on the leaflets. I Saved £3.50 out of it every week to give to my dad for my car insurance as it was cheaper in his name:D.
Then I got a job in a Christmas shop and was paid the grand sum of £15 for working 8.30-5pm on a Saturday. Not much per hr is it:)0
