    Hiya,
For anyone wanting coffee I've just done a good comparison on the Carte Noir Whole Bean Instant A v W. It's £4.49 each in A, and 2 4 £5 in W.
FC glad to see you back. Hope you get sorted healthwise soon. I fully understand your frustration at the lack of info. First thing we knew of a diagnosis on a family member recently was a phone call out of the blue from 'a cancer nurse'. It has caused utter devastation within the family, and we still don't have a definitive diagnosis. Awaiting yet another test:( It seems so unfair that you have another worry on top of all the others you have had to cope with. Sending you positive thoughts and big hugs.

I've bought some more 'cruise wear' today. Something for scrambling around ruins. ;)That is a small clue, as I know VT wants our destinations to remain a secret. We are planning to post pics of each of our ports.:D

It's my DS2's 21st birthday today. it seems such a short time ago he was a little, chubby, blond baby. He got back this morning from a trip to Jersey with his girlfriend, a birthday treat from her.

My garden is now finished. Once everything has grown and filled out a bit I'll post some pics.:D

Off to watch Secrets and Lies on Showbox now.

I am looking forward to the port pictures - I am quite good with recognising western med but not with Eastern med ports - expect some daft guesses :)

Fc - just caught your post as glossing through. What a horrendous time you've been through. I truly hope Monday brings you good news.

I am home! Was due out Monday, but yesterday Drs decided I could come out today. After 12 days in I can't tell you how good it feels to be out! :)

    Welcome home!

Yes I did. Out of sheer defiance :D I'm only managing 5 days at the end of the month but it's with all of the kids :j DS2 has his very detailed video of the airport, the transfer journey and the place we are staying and will be good to go by then I reckon.
Well now that I've convinced him that yes they do have TVs, Internet and flushing toilets in Portugal :rotfl:

But will he be having his hair cut before your adventure:eek:

Yippeeee that's good news:D how you feeling?

Exhausted! In fact am going to log off now. Just before I was discharged Dr came round to tell me I was anaemic, which explains why I'm so exhausted (on top of the major surgery of course!).

So good to be home, my own bed and everything else. Last 2 nights they didn't switch the ward lights off til 3am, not exactly conducive to sleep!

Will try and pop in each day now I'm home and recovering.

    Goodnight all.

Accor/Ibis Happy Monday Promo is supposed to offer excellent discounts - offers from around midday Monday to Tuesday each week for members of their club. I didn't fully look into it as was booking too late but HFP have details and it was on HUkD recently too:

never heard of Fetch - I shall look in to it thank you
We are not actually allowed to muck spread when it's raining because of ground water contamination :A and farming is a 365 a day year job, weekends don't exist. If that's the only day you can do it, you do it

I understand farming but been fine all week and they do it on a Saturday.:rotfl:

Look into Fetch I think you will enjoy. Very new but you can buy a nice bandana so everyone knows you belong. Run by a friend of my sisters. Think the site is called Fetch Everyone

What sometimes happens is that I talk and talk and talk and I write everything down as if I am talking (i.e. speaking) and it just all comes out like that and oral speech isn't always exact and correct, hence that little slip remained. But then I often spend ages and ages editing and re-editing what I've written in order to get it absolutely perfect and right. It's obviously that I didn't have time to spend on that at that time - and who can blame me? - and I simply threw in the towel and gave up the ghost trying to make the post perfect. (There's also a bit of executive dysfunction in there as I sometimes don't get round to editing stuff perfectly and put the task off... but, then I don't need to and it's not important - and of course it's saved me the time!:T) I know... excuses, excuses:rotfl:.

At least on here though, in written form, you get - I feel - to 'know' me better, in a way, that might be the case face-to-face as I find it easier to express stuff in writing and often have problems expressing all of what I want face-to-face. Then again, people mostly haven't got the time to listen to my three hour monologues:rotfl: - you spend all that flamin' time here reading them instead!

However, if you were to meet me (i.e. face-to-face), you'd find I do talk (although you wouldn't realise that there was so much that, afterwards, I am wishing that I had said that I did not and you would never know and I always feel that unless I give literally 100% of my thoughts, a partial speech is always, in some way, misleading and therefore no-one's got what I've meant to say). But then, if you sit down with me and spend the time for me to say 'absolutely everything' (which, normally, I still have stuff to say after a 1 hour session - we can spent whole days together and have the most interesting conversations), you'd find that I'm a really nice guy to know. However, it would need to be one-to-one - I don't do groups of three (or more) people - as it always ends up the other two (or however many) people start talking between themselves and then continue doing so like that, unwittingly ignoring me: I suspect as, subconsciously, you just can't ignore your natural social connections (body language) and it requires active thought on your part in order to overcome them (and make sure I can get a word in edge-ways, and I won't be giving any body language to indicate this) - a bit like I need active thought to think of how to navigate situations or 'what to say', and is never natural for me, as I don't know what to say - I often 'have no view', as I fall objectively under seeing everyone's different opinion and unable to reject or accept any equally valid views - there's never any real social conversation at all with me, there isn't: it all relates to something academic or other - even the other week, when an SA talked about the weather, I began with a short comment of "yes, it's been nice (or not, or whatever it was...whichever week)" but then, instead of leaving it there - I didn't know what other different item of small talk then to move onto - I started talking about how it was the record breaking temperature in X place since such and such a date and reeling off Met Office stats.:rotfl::rotfl: - they didn't want that lol, I think they became bored at that point -- but I couldn't help myself!

I often 'don't know what to say'/'don't have any opinion' (...and why would I, given that there are other valid views and I am an ultimate truth-seeker?). Then again, I also have, on some occasions, some views that I hold very strongly [because they are true:p:D]... and then you definitely get to hear what I think!:o:o:o:rotfl::rotfl:

EDIT: Still can't write a short post, of a couple of succinct lines, to explain things and give you just the gist:rotfl:.
