Accor/Ibis Happy Monday Promo is supposed to offer excellent discounts - offers from around midday Monday to Tuesday each week for members of their club. I didn't fully look into it as was booking too late but HFP have details and it was on HUkD recently too:

Good evening, lasdyshopper so glad your home, it really is the best medicine:beer:, FC you don't do things by half, do you, wishing you all the luck in the world that Monday is a breeze:T, and mhoc I love your posts but never realised how much of a hard time you were having, you also deserve a hug (()), hope your dh continues in the good mood vibe, :)

Oh no we are in a much better place now - start of the year esp between the end of Jan and April were a nightmare, we were in a down would spiral, I think OH was in a very black place- now things are so much better and we are plodding along nicely.

Hugs are in a finite supply and need to be rationed out carefully - my place is at the back of the queue :)

Good question, no idea - I was just reporting what I read - why midday Monday to midday Tuesday if it is called Happy Monday promo? It matters not, their promo, their rules - just make sure you sign up to their free club and check on Monday if you want to participate :).

Welcome back FC, sad to hear you're going through so much at the moment but hoping the news will be very positive on Monday.

Speaking of driving disasters I once worked with a girl that was told on her test to go straight across at the roundabout - a very, very large roundabout filled with flowers - she did go straight across it! She said she was that nervous she did what examiner told her to do - needless to say she failed.

Same girl was very nervous driving and only brought her car in (after finally passing her test somehow?) on weekends, when she couldn't get a lift. Picture an enormous car park where the first 5 or so rows were full of cars. Behind this there were 15 or so rows absolutely empty of cars except for 1 car in the middle of all these empty rows. Yes, she managed to hit the 1 car on it's own!

Somehow she managed to get a position as a medical rep, everyone in the lab went:eek::eek::eek: Driving???:eek::eek:

My cousin was so vain that she wouldn't wear her glasses when she started learning to drive. Her hubby thankfully stopped her driving straight into a wall as she thought it was the road. She did pass her test, with glasses. I've never got into a car with her driving, she prefers that I drive. I'm not sure I'd ever want to?

As it happens I've had a very eventful few weeks and haven't event lurked. It's always nice when something conveniently comes along to fill a void, don't you think?

As such I have missed a few weeks worth of triumphs, tragedies, hatches, matches, dispatches and probably a few birthdays. I have managed to still be :money::money:where I can though. So I hope everyone is well

I shall summarise what the last few weeks have been for me. it's a long summary but I'll keep it as brief as I can.

About 3 weeks ago or so, I had my last blood test after the melanoma scare. My GP rang 2 days later with the good news that everything I'd been tested for was ok :j BUT inadvertently the test had shown I had an abnormal protein (paraprotein) in my blood. That meant absolutely zilch to me so I asked her what it meant. She quite cleverly never answered that question and said that she was referring me to a haematologist. So I asked if she could at least tell me if I would be suffering any physical symptoms as a result of these proteins. Possibly she says. These were all rather vague things that could be attributed to everyday life really.

Bone pain - Yes, I'm approaching middle age and spend far too much time bent over.
Fatigue - Yes, I have 4 children and a busy job
Irritability or confusion - Yes, I have 4 children and a busy job
Weight loss - Yes, I recently sacked my chef and my cooking is so bad I won't even eat it. :rotfl::rotfl:

So not too worried I went off and had about 5 pints of blood extracted at the hospital (ok, but it felt like that much!) and told they would like to also perform a bone marrow expiration (Gee whizz! that procedure is not for the faint hearted BTW :eek:)

Meanwhile back at the ranch awaiting an appointment for the bone marrow thing, I get up one morning to find a shiny bright yellow letter waiting on the mat. This letter was telling me how pleased to inform me someone was to offer me an appointment with a haematological oncologist at the local cancer unit :eek: So yes I was (and still am) filled with terror. Id had no warning that I'd be seeing an oncologist. So I was, quite justifiably, I think upset (ok hysterical) for a few days.

I rang my GP again and didn't get answers, I asked when I had the bone marrow expiration and didn't get answers.........everyone just kept telling me these tests were routine and they just did the tests and couldn't speculate. When I went in to get the bone marrow results I was just in the process of being fobbed off again........until I did my best meltdown ever!! :o And demanded some bloomin information I could understand. I was finally offered at least something by way of a partial explanation of what might be going on by a very understanding doctor. He also furnished me with some of my test results and an explanation of what they *might* and *might not* mean. I was also told that day that I needed to also have a skeletal survey.

So after bone marrow was the pee clinic. Yes, they have a whole clinic about pee! :D
Worry aside.....my visit to the pee clinic was actually very amusing and I may tell you about it later......

After the pee clinic was was the skeletal survey which is nowhere near as exciting as it sounds.

And that's what I've been doing really. That and trying keep to sane and busy. The big appointment is on Monday morning and I'm assured after all of the above, they will be in a position to give me a firm diagnosis. So don't be thinking I've been sat here missing you lot and being bored. :p:p
I wasn't sure when or even if I'd actually be able to share all that. It's actually a relief as I've only told a very few other people and only 2 of them are real people. The others are online friends.

Oh and I also went to the darts final which was just fantastic :j:j

Good to see you back and where does your ds2 fit into all of

    this :)

Thought for a minute that I was looking at a selfie of me tidying ds bedroom...then I thought , no...id have less hair on ky head , and more in my fingers:rotfl:
which reminds me of my bus journey to mums today.
a lovely teenage girl got on bus.sat in seat in front.lovely long hair in a high ponytail.looked beautiful.then I noticed a spider in her hair.so my dilemma was, should I or shouldnt I tell her, or wait for said spider to come nearer.i dont like spiders but it wasnt tarantula size, and could have been a lucky money spider, ( and the lotterys failed me again:( )
So, I watched said spider, then lo and behold, its friend , mr nit came out to play with a few mates
I was dying to have a good scratch at my own by then , and luckily we reached my stop...so I made like a seagull and got the flock out:rotfl:
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A
