They've closed entrance to the bristol balloon fiesta because they're full

The night glow is on tonight so there's gonna be a lot of unhappy people - the night glow is a bit of a tradition in bristol

So I'm watching the balloons take off via live streaming instead :) absolutely no people who need punching! And I can go for a wee when I want in the comfort of my own bathroom :D

    It's ours next weekend

    Hiya,
For anyone wanting coffee I've just done a good comparison on the Carte Noir Whole Bean Instant A v W. It's £4.49 each in A, and 2 4 £5 in W.
FC glad to see you back. Hope you get sorted healthwise soon. I fully understand your frustration at the lack of info. First thing we knew of a diagnosis on a family member recently was a phone call out of the blue from 'a cancer nurse'. It has caused utter devastation within the family, and we still don't have a definitive diagnosis. Awaiting yet another test:( It seems so unfair that you have another worry on top of all the others you have had to cope with. Sending you positive thoughts and big hugs.

I've bought some more 'cruise wear' today. Something for scrambling around ruins. ;)That is a small clue, as I know VT wants our destinations to remain a secret. We are planning to post pics of each of our ports.:D

It's my DS2's 21st birthday today. it seems such a short time ago he was a little, chubby, blond baby. He got back this morning from a trip to Jersey with his girlfriend, a birthday treat from her.

My garden is now finished. Once everything has grown and filled out a bit I'll post some pics.:D

Off to watch Secrets and Lies on Showbox now.

All would not be right with the world unless I was swearing and cussing at Shopotize :D
I've got one milk receipt still bring reviewed - 5 days now. Another milk receipt was just declined on day 8 so I have to find it and upload it yet again. On Friday I uploaded a !!!!!! receipt with beans, milk and eggs on - the beans were accepted but not the milk or eggs so that's gone for review but I've also emailed them an additional 3 photos with all three clearly marked.

I keep hanging on for the reviewed items - my account us just under £4 and has been stuck like that now for over a week. OH was ready to withdraw last weekend but keeps hanging on for the last item to be accepted.

No COS or Q probs :D

I have to do Shopit when the kids are not around now as it is the most frustrating experience at the moment, with receipts not recognised and W4lkers vouchers not loading. Most of my W4lkers have gone for review since the app update as have Mrs Anon's - it particularly hates A receipts, no issues with W. I mostly shop at A .

I will be so glad when I have submitted them all and I can move on from this promo :o.

Fc - just caught your post as glossing through. What a horrendous time you've been through. I truly hope Monday brings you good news.

I am home! Was due out Monday, but yesterday Drs decided I could come out today. After 12 days in I can't tell you how good it feels to be out! :)

As it happens I've had a very eventful few weeks and haven't event lurked. It's always nice when something conveniently comes along to fill a void, don't you think?

As such I have missed a few weeks worth of triumphs, tragedies, hatches, matches, dispatches and probably a few birthdays. I have managed to still be :money::money:where I can though. So I hope everyone is well

I shall summarise what the last few weeks have been for me. it's a long summary but I'll keep it as brief as I can.

About 3 weeks ago or so, I had my last blood test after the melanoma scare. My GP rang 2 days later with the good news that everything I'd been tested for was ok :j BUT inadvertently the test had shown I had an abnormal protein (paraprotein) in my blood. That meant absolutely zilch to me so I asked her what it meant. She quite cleverly never answered that question and said that she was referring me to a haematologist. So I asked if she could at least tell me if I would be suffering any physical symptoms as a result of these proteins. Possibly she says. These were all rather vague things that could be attributed to everyday life really.

Bone pain - Yes, I'm approaching middle age and spend far too much time bent over.
Fatigue - Yes, I have 4 children and a busy job
Irritability or confusion - Yes, I have 4 children and a busy job
Weight loss - Yes, I recently sacked my chef and my cooking is so bad I won't even eat it. :rotfl::rotfl:

So not too worried I went off and had about 5 pints of blood extracted at the hospital (ok, but it felt like that much!) and told they would like to also perform a bone marrow expiration (Gee whizz! that procedure is not for the faint hearted BTW :eek:)

Meanwhile back at the ranch awaiting an appointment for the bone marrow thing, I get up one morning to find a shiny bright yellow letter waiting on the mat. This letter was telling me how pleased to inform me someone was to offer me an appointment with a haematological oncologist at the local cancer unit :eek: So yes I was (and still am) filled with terror. Id had no warning that I'd be seeing an oncologist. So I was, quite justifiably, I think upset (ok hysterical) for a few days.

I rang my GP again and didn't get answers, I asked when I had the bone marrow expiration and didn't get answers.........everyone just kept telling me these tests were routine and they just did the tests and couldn't speculate. When I went in to get the bone marrow results I was just in the process of being fobbed off again........until I did my best meltdown ever!! :o And demanded some bloomin information I could understand. I was finally offered at least something by way of a partial explanation of what might be going on by a very understanding doctor. He also furnished me with some of my test results and an explanation of what they *might* and *might not* mean. I was also told that day that I needed to also have a skeletal survey.

So after bone marrow was the pee clinic. Yes, they have a whole clinic about pee! :D
Worry aside.....my visit to the pee clinic was actually very amusing and I may tell you about it later......

After the pee clinic was was the skeletal survey which is nowhere near as exciting as it sounds.

And that's what I've been doing really. That and trying keep to sane and busy. The big appointment is on Monday morning and I'm assured after all of the above, they will be in a position to give me a firm diagnosis. So don't be thinking I've been sat here missing you lot and being bored. :p:p
I wasn't sure when or even if I'd actually be able to share all that. It's actually a relief as I've only told a very few other people and only 2 of them are real people. The others are online friends.

Oh and I also went to the darts final which was just fantastic :j:j

    Welcome home:)

Gosh what a lot to have going on. Sympathies on the Bone Marrow expiration. Not fun:(
    All the best for Monday.

I know you have sacked the chef but needs must so I prescribe lots of mr t meal deals with a preprepared salad on the side. Failing that I am sure you could muddle through with a few takeaways or chips on the beach. Food is important. Sandwiches do not need cooking.

I hope the summer holidays are not being too much and I know you like siblings of houseguest to come and stay but please limit yourself.

I must say TM has been doing a very good job at keeping the thread going with her daily musings, chitchat and even logging in on her hols.
N and I are going cruising at the end of the month. I am currently making Mr Ted a tux:D

Yes there have been various glitches but nothing that will not happen again and some people appear to be getting their walkers vouchers.

We have all been enjoying the wonderful weather But Ladyshopper has been stuck in hospital a long way from home with barely any visitors but we are all thinking of her and sending positive vibes.

    Evening all
Last week I think it was someone was talking about hotels which had cash back and a money off code (£10?) but try as I might I can't find any of the posts about it. Can any one remember what chain of hotels it was please?

It was Travelodge 10% off (http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/travelodge) then going through TCB unless there have been others?

I see a £5 off voucher seems to be available:

Thank you. I have missed your entire journey with your op :o but being let home early is good news  I hope you continue to recover quickly at home.

Thanks too to everyone else for the wishes. I'm off to sort my hair out. We spent all day on the beach. Buckets & spades, paddling and even butties to get sand in :D (there's something so nostalgic about eating a gritty butty :rotfl::rotfl:) so my hair is all sea air tuggy.
