My tale of woe and the reason I'm in the dog house has left me yet again rather  with myself and very :o

I often watch TV upstairs as have multi room with Sky and record loads of stuff to watch at a later date.

So Thursday afternoon I was watching a recording of, errrm, I can't remember now and the programme is irrelevant. Anyway, I was rewinding and pressed the button again quickly and the picture froze  Try as I did I couldn't get it to unfreeze. So, As this has happened before to me I knew if I unplugged sky box, tv turned off of course. Leave unplugged for an hour or so then it comes back on. But it didn't, so I left it for a couple of hours, this didn't work either.

It is at this point I had to tell DH what had happened, well you'd think I'd blown the whole lot up to hear him  He tried for a while then said he'd have to ring Sky, which he did yesterday.

So, after call to Sky to do whatever they have to do, the same as before I suppose (yes, he has had to call them about this because if me and the same thing). After the call DH tells me that I no longer have anything recorded   and do not have 'Planner'

Oh yes, I am unable to record anything at all now, until they send a new card it seems. Will take a few days.

The first time I froze the TV some months ago DH rang Sky. Since then , when I've froze it I just unplug and leave a while, unluckily for me it failed this time :(

So you now see why I'm in the dog house :o:o

Could this be classed as an mhoc day? No, maybe not. She wouldn't be so stupid

Yes, you try your best but things still stuff up then your OH goes into orbit - mine is the same. He is more technically adapt than me. Even so he still goes loopy if I have a computer problem and he has to fix it - if I could fix things myself I would have done.
The TV is beyond me altogether - very much OHs domain - all I can do is dab at buttons until the thing I want to happen does happen - even switching on is a challenge :rotfl:
I can go onto sky online, sign in and auto record - that's the limit of my skills.
If OH wasn't about - well I suppose I'd have to learn but probably I would not even bother with the TV.

Excel spread sheets are very comforting things especially in times of stress. my favourite is my wine list :D

I tried keeping a wine list but OH didn't like keeping it up so it fell into disuse. All I know is we have a rack full :D And more!

mhoc, you do understand me :j and the challenge I faced :o. It just wouldn't come back on, it has done lots of times before when I froze it. Well once Sky man told DH what to do.

I'm no doubt going to hear about this tonight as DH will be regaling my misdemeanour.

Enjoy your evening all, see you later x

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
