    Good afternoon Elite :hello:

Such a glorious day here and I'm hoping in holds out as we are having our street bbq tonight. I say street but I mean Close, there are 6 houses here and we all attend. Also a couple who live just round the corner always get an invite as they have been friends of 3 households for about 25 years now.

I haven't been shopping yet, don't really need anything tbh, so I may just watch a film whilst DH watches sport. Of course this means I have to use one of the TVs upstairs

Which now reminds me that I'm still in the dog house :o

Hope you've all had a good day shopping and are feeling well x

My tale of woe and the reason I'm in the dog house has left me yet again rather  with myself and very :o

I often watch TV upstairs as have multi room with Sky and record loads of stuff to watch at a later date.

So Thursday afternoon I was watching a recording of, errrm, I can't remember now and the programme is irrelevant. Anyway, I was rewinding and pressed the button again quickly and the picture froze  Try as I did I couldn't get it to unfreeze. So, As this has happened before to me I knew if I unplugged sky box, tv turned off of course. Leave unplugged for an hour or so then it comes back on. But it didn't, so I left it for a couple of hours, this didn't work either.

It is at this point I had to tell DH what had happened, well you'd think I'd blown the whole lot up to hear him  He tried for a while then said he'd have to ring Sky, which he did yesterday.

So, after call to Sky to do whatever they have to do, the same as before I suppose (yes, he has had to call them about this because if me and the same thing). After the call DH tells me that I no longer have anything recorded   and do not have 'Planner'

Oh yes, I am unable to record anything at all now, until they send a new card it seems. Will take a few days.

The first time I froze the TV some months ago DH rang Sky. Since then , when I've froze it I just unplug and leave a while, unluckily for me it failed this time :(

So you now see why I'm in the dog house :o:o

Could this be classed as an mhoc day? No, maybe not. She wouldn't be so stupid

I also have lost loss of Sky channels  So I'm watching TV in one of the spare bedrooms watching via Freeview  :o

    Good afternoon all :)
Thanx M4rt1n for the shiny new thread :T
Bubbs you were right to stay off the rides when DH takes me out in the car for lessons.
I managed to park the car in a hedge today! :o I'm absolutely mortified and feel like poo now! :(
Was only my 4th time in the drivers seat and first time out on the road (quiet one on an industrial estate, last 3 drives have been empty car parks).
Please tell me other people in the elite have managed to do something similar, I feel really stupid and embarrassed right now, I just froze and forgot to use the brake :(
Can we have a glitch on some t-cut please! :D

Thanx QoC you made me chuckle a little :)
I managed to mount the kerb head on and go straight onto a pavement scratching the heck out of the car on one side :o
I'm actually more worried about the damage done to the car and the fact that people saw me do it.
Poor DH still wants to help me, he just told me next time to try not to take a turn at a junction in 3rd :o
I don't think I'll ever be able to understand how to do all these things at once :o

I had a friend who went the wrong way around a roundabout..... on his test!

He knew he failed, so decided he was going go have some fun.

I thought he was exaggerating a little, until I heard someone ask him why he was driving around Sainsbury's carpark like a looney!

    Surprisingly he failed his test!

Only if you have also chased up a cashback company about something that hasn't tracked yet
