Typical isn t it. I hate going to our local place. They just stand around watching . You can get fined £1000 so I've heard if you are caught taking anything away. They probably want things for themselves
That is mad
Surely recycling should be encouraged rather than stuff going to landfill ?0 -

As an experiment we've tried running one Milk offer over two weeks this time, so if you redeemed it last week, you won't see another Milk offer this week. However, the Milk offer will return as normal next week, valid for one week. Thanks, Mike
Well that's £1.50 less than expected !0 -
I'm off to bed.
I have sold my mothers house. I won't go into detail but it's been causing me an absolute mare for the last year or soand it's finally sold :j
I'm off to sort out the paperwork tomorrow and then I'm free of it. And obviously it gives me a little more capital to keep us afloatshe was a very awkward woman was my mother. She got her wishes and made it awkward in the extreme. I think she'll be smiling somewhere

We have a brilliant recycling centre complete with shop where you can buy rescued stuff for very little.
My current project is restoring a 1956 brass Tilly lamp (army issue) I bought for £1.50 in there. I bought a pack of spares on eBay for £1.99 or something. I've just got the hard job of polishing it back to the brass now  but it'll be worth it. A proper Tilly lamp for £1.50
they have amazing stuff in their recycling shop and most of it is so cheap! lots of gardening bits. it's a great idea and other recycling centres should adopt it0 -

Morning Peeps,
I am off up North today to the registrars and make arrangements for DM.
I can't do anything until I can get into her flat as I expect she has left very specific instructions!
Things which would make my Mother smile with satisfaction:
1. Spoiling my holiday.
2. Puzzling the Pathologist.
3. Passing the same weekend as Cilla Black.
In other news........spent yesterday deep cleaning the kitchen units and the kitchen floor. What has happened this morning? ...............A VERY BIG WET MUDDY DOG!!!!!!!!!
On the plus side I got DD to ring HMRC to chase her TAX rebate.and a cheque will be on it's way in 10 days time. Yay!
