Tesco "to be more competitive"

Aldi have the fastest checkout people of any super market around us, they almost throw the goods thought the scanner and it works, a shame the others cant get the self service to work like it should. Tesco should try being competitive with this part of the service

I suspect they check competitors' prices and raise their own to match, apart from on headline offers.

Pond scum huh? That kind of reaffirms me not wanting to go to Waitrose. Particularly if its full of upper class snobs who spend all day roaming around the supermarket looking down on everyone else as if they are some kind of royalty.

It must be particularly expensive if its only good enough for such snobbery.

It's called autocorrect. Typing on a mobile device does that. It doesn't spell Tesco as Tesco's however.

Also, while you may not be able to afford to shop at M&S, Waitrose is surprisingly affordable. They tend to have the same main offers as the multiples, you get freebies such as newspapers which can bring down the cost if you buy them anyway, and you can also get 20% off your " top 10" using the Mywaitrose card.

So I was right you ARE a Waitrose snob.

Don't suppose you would go now if you knew that I DO shop in Waitrose sometimes.

As for 'pond life scum', we can all be there but for the grace of God.

The big players can do what they like. I love shopping in Aldi. Great quality and value for my money. We started the year with the whole half your shopping bill and even now each week I am amazed how cheap the weekly shop is. It amazes me why you would want to pay twice as much in other supermarkets !
