Not keen on Aldi, yes its cheaper, but the 15-20 min queue with the dregs of society negates any savings lol

Yes - once made the big mistake of going into Aldi on a pay day. Never again.

which department of tesco do you work in?
    None.

    Personally I don't shop a Tesco's now because it's a dump.

Which Tesco store was it that banned/fired you?
Neither banned of fired. Just find Tesco's is a dump now. Before you reply to that Tesco's has had a lot of my money in the past.

Not much of a shopping experience and a more expensive than Asda.

Should we start by googling "woolworths"? :o

That company was a small out of date minnow and was run badly.

The only pluses they had was the pick and mix and the dvd/music department.

Everything else was disjointed, limited choice and over priced.

Woolworth did not even own the properties their shops were in.

Also Tesco falls in the 'If you owe a bank £1 million, it's your problem. If you owe a bank billions, it's their problem.'

Tesco also has a large amount of physical assets.

I do my main shop at Tesco, Aldi\Lidl I tend to only go for a particular bargain, last time I went to Aldi was for a hammer drill they had on offer.

I also shop at Asda but mainly for things we have run out of like milk\bread as its more local than Tesco.

Fruit\veg I get from the local Grocer and fresh meat comes from the local Butcher.

I do my weekly shop at Tesco, tinned food, bread, milk etc and frozen food generally come from Iceland.

Each have variants in price\quality, Tesco's bread is generally fresher than Asda's for example, whereas butter is cheaper at Asda than Tesco.

The bulk is bought at Tesco as that is my preference over all of them, I find the staff friendlier and more helpful there and they do automatically offer me deals if something costs more elsewhere, in Asda I would have to point out the price difference to get a deal.

Firstly, stop referring to Tesco as "Tesco's". Seriously. It's embarrassing.

Also, while you may not be able to afford to shop at M&S, Waitrose is surprisingly affordable. They tend to have the same main offers as the multiples, you get freebies such as newspapers which can bring down the cost if you buy them anyway, and you can also get 20% off your " top 10" using the Mywaitrose card.

They're actually quite competitive, plus you have the bonus of not running shoulders with some of the pond scum you find in Asda. Thats worth the extra any day of the week.
