Stupid comparison to make, there are a lot of items that Tesco have that are far cheaper than Aldi,

Can you give some examples please?

(and I don't mean things you've won in the fights over the stuff that's marked down at the end of the day!)

Tesco's are much improved lately, and prices are starting to compare well with the cheapo shops, such as Lidl and Aldi.

    About time too!

But ALL supermarkets are as bad, or good, as any other. You don't think it's coincidence that they all seem to have similar prices? They send teams round to check and then try to better the rest. Look online and then go to more than one supermarket for all the bargains and use local suppliers too where you can find some lower prices/better quality/better service experience. Last week I used Aldi, Asda, local butcher and market stalls for fruit and veg. And the dairy farmers are up in arms as the supermarkets are insensitive to milk pricing needing increasing to give the farmers some profit. They destroyed the high street and now it looks like they might let the dairy industry go to the wall. Oh, well, there's always French milk, lol

    Oh, absolutely.
I became aware of a harrowing tale involving a dairy farmer on social media. He had to buy a 14 plate Range Rover because he couldn't quite afford this years model.
If you'd like to prevent the indignity of other farmers having to buy second hand top of the range 4x4s, please text LANDEDGENTRY to 66088. With your help, we can put an end to their considerable suffering.

Difference is Tesco uses free range eggs but Aldi doesn't.

That is worth paying for imo.

I haven't even bothered with aldi this year, it's too good! they queue to get in the car park, it's absolutely rammed in there now and they put two more tills in. Luckily there is a lidl being built just round the corner with a large car park so by the end of the year I'll never have to go to tesco again.
Errr? Lidl will be as rammed as the Aldi one is now, so you will still be going to Tescos.:)

The 'Free Range Egg' issue yet again.

I would like, just for once, for the people who buy these eggs to actually go to the farms they are produced on and then give a informed opinion rather than the so called 'informed internet opinion'.

I am fully aware of the issues surrounding free range. However that doesn't mean I am going to stop buying free range. I buy eggs because of the ideology that some day hens will be more free range with less restrictions on them and penalties for farmers that try to beat the system.

When your eggs scan through the till it identifies what you have bought e.g. Happy Hen eggs or morrisons own etc. The more demand for free range as an ideology the better. If people are buying free range there is more pressure on farmers and animal welfare officers to ensure they meet standards. Now those standards are pretty low at the moment but over time with increased demand the standards should be forced to rise.

As a business, they will be around longer than you will be alive.

Banks have lost billions but are still around.

Would suggest you do a bit of Goggling and learn the understanding of how business works.
