so you have no defence then.
Do the honest thing and take it on the chin.
Look at it another way you were caught at over 30% over the limit.
Obviously I don't want to pay a fine or get points, unless I have to.

The world is still exactly the same after event as before. ;)

There are sometimes tactics & technicalities that mean the ticket is not valid.

Well if that's what you're looking at you need to provide a lot more information. Without knowing the location, police force or seeing the nip it's like !!!!ing in the wind. Just send the form back and do the course is the best advice on the scant info so far.

Beware of pub advice. It could cost you over £1000 in court costs alone.

It's not exactly the same, before you didn't face the prospect of a fine and points, and now you do.

Don't move to North Yorkshire. They acquired a load of vans a few years ago after a Labour PCC was elected and decided she needed to punish all the nice car driving staunch Conservatives in quiet parts of the Moors and Dales with them. No political bias on my part there, just observations (my libertarian views are unrepresented by any of the major parties, so I no longer vote).

My 60 year old mother got an NIP this morning for 39 in a 30, about five yards before an NSL. She does frequently kill kitten-carrying nuns with her incessant speeding though so deserves everything she gets; like all the other 60 year old women that will make up the majority of the speed awareness course she'll attend.

Meanwhile, boy racers continue to thrash their antisocial barrymobiles around towns with impunity once the vans have gone back to HQ for the night...

I'm talking about the physical real world, that is same before & after the event.

    Not an artificial created concept.

This is still the place to go where the circumstances can be analysed and any potential defence tested;-
