Why would you want another money prog when MS money is now working on 10
and still down loads account details from my banks ?

I was dithering over loading Windows 10 because I heard of weird fixes in the registery required to persuade this old, but wonderful, programme to work. At the weekend with great trepedation I wiped the hard disk and installed the Windows 10 upgrade, reloaded MS Money, and 5 days in it is still working fine, no fixes no nasties at all!!!

    Very happy
  • I've used various versions of money for over twenty years so I'm going to find change difficult. I've recently switched to Moneywiz 2 which I have on my iPad and my desktop - the file syncs between them and functionality is similar. I've only been using it a week or so but I like it so far (but still missing my MS Money!) :)

...but still missing my MS Money!

Well go back to it! there are many happy users with no problems on W10.

And I'm another one of them - no problems at all with MM since mid-August last year when Microsoft fixed the problem.

Hi, I hope its OK to revive this thread as my query relates to this. Im helping someone with this as they are having issues with MS Money and Win 10.

Ive read that it works on their machine but its unreliable. This is what I know:

    Windows 10 Home (1511)
    Money (2004)

Initially it only loaded the first screen but then freezes. It seems to be better after a reinstall but its still unreliable. Can anyone offer any advice on what can done differently to get Money and Win 10 working more reliably?

Can't really help you with this, I'm afraid. It's been working fine for me since August 2015 on three PCs, all running on Windows 10 Home (Version 1607 now).

It hasn't missed a beat despite all the updates since then. That's not to say that it will stay that way, of course........

Me too. Been running Money 2004 on Windows 10 for just under a year. Works well and took in all my old data. Very occasional message "money has stopped working, reload?" It reloads fine and I have had no other problems.
