Damaged chair following incorrect instruction

Hi,
I damaged a chair i have bought and dented one of my internal doors struggling to thread bolts that were too short to put the two parts of the chair together because the instructions directed me to use the wrong bolts. Do i have any right to a replacement?

If the bolts were too short, then how did that manage to cause damage?

When you found that the bolts you were using were too short, wasn't it a case of just using the longer bolts instead?

Because the backrest was heavy and awkward to hold in place with one hand and the metal braces are scratchy...

Sounds like you tried to work in a space that wasn't big enough

You could ask for a new chair part but as for your door that's not really the company at fault.

If it was heavy and awkward, surely you'd ask someone to help?
You only have yourself to blame for the door, but they should sort out the bolt issue.

But were the correct bolts supplied and did you just misread the instructions?
