Would you be relying on section 103 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 by any chance to back up your wonky opinions? Well, that's not the Road Traffic Act for starters. It also refers to obstruction of the road.

With the best will in the world a car parked in the gap between the OP's house and his neighbour, with no drop down kerb access to the road is not going to be classified as a road under the act, apart from in your peculiar world:D

But it would help if you knew what a road was. It also makes no mention of dropped kerbs drop kerbs does it?

I know what a road is, but you, on the other hand, seem to have a bit of a mental block on what a road is.

Really? So do tell us where the road runs to and from.

Which road are you talking about? The A1? It runs from London to Edinburgh. Or the A2? It runs from London to Dover.;)

So you sarcastic answer is to cover what, your lack of knowledge? You don't even know the legal definition of a road do you?

What's your area of expertise in this, a parking enforcement officer who can't even issue a ticket that is legal?

Resorting to insults and putting other posters down again? Who would have thought it :D Such an approach tells me that you haven't got a clue what you are talking about, hence the insults.

Anyway, it's been fun playing with you, but you have become very tedious, not to mention not knowing anything about the subject being discussed in this thread. Night night!:D

Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Name Dropper
Here's a pic from our front porch

    - you can see the "Airport Parking saver" white car in the Access-way

    - and if you look at the Pavement you might be able to make out the undropped Kerb

    - further still, you should be able to see the "dashed" Resident Permit holder only markings (an elongated one that fits 4 cars).

On the basis of that photo, if a Permit holder parks in the Bay - are they doing anything legally wrong?

What if the Permit holder is someone who lives several doors down (i.e. not a resident of either house that owns the Access-way), and he / she couldn't find an empty parking bay (EDIT - except this one) - and then had to travel abroad for several weeks (i.e. no one could get hold of them)?

Would it be fair for their car to be towed so that the car in the Access-way could get out?

After all, they're merely parking in a designated Bay / Space they've effectively paid for by way of a Yearly Permit.

Op, what exactly do you want to hear from posters on here? You have been given good advice re putting a bollard in but don't seem to want to listen. If you put a bollard in what are you afraid they might do?
